My computer screen locked and there was a message supposedly from Microsoft Security Defender to call this number urgently to have this fixed or my Facebook account would be deleted. Such a scam! I forced shut down the computer and restarted it with no problem. Be very wary of messages asking you to call this number.

My laptop also froze when I clicked on a FB ad and the above number came up. They answered as Microsoft support or similar.
They told me to press the ESC key for 10 seconds, at which point the screen unfroze and I was able to delete the ad on FB and close other tabs.
They wanted me to enter a code but I hung up and tried to confirm the number on the Microsoft website - this number was not there.
Very sure it is a scam.

After clicking on a link on FB computer screen froze with message that Microsoft Defender Security has disabled your computer and to phone this number to unlock. This is a scam!
