Scam call. Claimed to be from TSA/Telstra. Asked for date of birth (DOB), I refused to provide any information. Then they asked for my Telstra account number, I also declined to provide any information. I told him to email me, he said he only had the phone number, so sent me the below message.
"Hi. Unfortunately, I was unable to contact you on 13 Sep in regard to your recent request, Case Reference: [8-digit number]. Please contact us on 1800 903 277. If we do not hear from you before 15 Sep 7:00AM-4:00PM your Case will be closed but can be reopened if you wish to discuss further. Thanks. No SMS replies". This contact number does not appear on the Telstra bills or website.

I've just been told by Telstra that this is a scam! The strange thing is the person pertaining to be from Telstra had details that I had only disclosed to Telstra a couple of days ago re change of address, so what the hell is going on with Telstra!

NOT SCAM - I think this is a valid number for Telstra orders.

I was very nervous about this unsolicited call (claiming to be about an order) when they started asking for personal info. ie. the DOB. They gave me the callback number, employee ID, etc. and I hung up. I then used the online chat with Telstra and they recommended I contact them again, but they would not go so far to say that it was a Telstra number (the guy said his dept didn't have the full list of contact numbers).
So I rang back and was very careful about what info I provided. They asked for my DOB and I gave an incorrect one, They questioned it, so I gave the correct date which was accepted and turned out to be all the personal info they asked for. They then went on to discuss my order and it was obvious they were legitimate.

This number was given to me by a scammer on (08) 6228 4108 to "verify" his ID. He is well known on these pages. I have a note in my my address book never to call it.

Caller claimed to be Telstra. This is definitely a scam. And scarily they knew about an in progress order for a specific type of service. Someone must be feeding them information about this.

Missed a call from a number similar to this one. Got a text message after it rung out l asking to call this number with a reference. They instantly said they could not find the reference number in thier system and I had to get verified. Told her to have a nice day and unstantly called telstra in an official number and they said very strongly "We do not call unless a bill is outstanding or we have organised a call back".

Telstra sent a message with a reference for me to call back. Unsure if this 1800 number was geniune, so I contacted Telstra via their official website and spoke to an agent online. They confirmed 1800 903 277 as one of their official numbers for pre-checking when processing orders

Hi just got call from these people re an order when I refused to give information they gave me this1800 903 277 number to call them back and an ID for Janine D742473, rang and they answered immediately, I know Telstra does not answer that quick so I hung up and am now calling Telstra on 132200 in regards to my outstanding order. I agree someone in Telstra is feeding info to these scammers the 3 mobiles I am upgrading have been receiving up to 5 scam calls per day since my recent contact with Telstra. I contacted Telstra re this last Friday and they denied that this is possible.

Sounds very professional but I'm confident it's a scam. I gave them a false DOB and they just accepted it. That told me they clearly are scammers. Then some BS about confirming order details (order had already been delivered anyway). Few days later another call, then an SMS with a call back number 1800 903 277. Have tried contacting Telstra about this. Yes TSA might be a company that it is legitimate but clearly these people simply claim to be them but aren't. Under no circumstances every give out any personal details. I wish Telstra would just take some responsibility for dealing with this. Clearly someone from within Telstra does feed this info to scammers (it all started within a week from actually placing an order on Telstra). Wish I had never done so as it is becoming a total nuisance.

I received an SMS, claiming to be sent on behalf of Telstra and wrt an order (as it turns out, i had two interactions the previous day re. NBN connections.) Was told to ring 1800 903 277 and was given a quote no. When I called the number, a message in an Aussie voice said it was the TSA group and then it dialled through and the person hung up! TSA is apparently a legit compnay and works with Telstra but there is so much confusion on this website about these calls. As usual, sounds like Telstra have subcontracted work to TSA. They are a s**t company and that is in large part why I am getting rid of my Telstra internet/Foxtel bundle.

I got this message:

This message is on behalf of Telstra,we tried to call about your order but missed you. Please call at your earliest convenience 1800 903 277, quote Ref 5xxxxx“

I thought it was regarding nbn connection and called back. A voice message said i would be put through to the next available assistant and then i got an engaged tone.
