Caller: Claiming to be tax office

My wife received a call looking for me claiming to be the ATO and that we had a debt outstanding. They provided a phone number to call back on 1800 801 373 and gave out a reference number. I looked here and believe it is a scam as well

The number 1800 801 373 is listed on the ATO site as an official external debt collection agencies under the name Probe Operations Pty Ltd. Referred it to my accountant who advised he would handle it.

Caller: Pretend ATO

Trying to tell me I owe them tax when I am a tax agent!

I got the a phone call from the same number (03) 9093 0613 asking to call them back on 1800 801 373....I reported it to the ATO and it's a scam.
They said to always ask for the persons Full Name, User ID and Team Number if they won't give those details it's not the ATO and that ATO reference numbers usually start with a 1 and do not contain letters.

Caller: Not a call from this numebr

This is the number that "someone from the ATO" ringing from (03) 9093 0613 gave me in a voice message. Very suspect.
