1800 512 439 scam caller - how come they get through the do not call register - waste of time being registered

A scam/scare mongering number - 1800 512 439 came up on my phone, called twice in a minute or so, answered 2nd time, states from ATO & investigating fraud!! so beware, new it was a bullsh*t type call with that crap, oh, pre recorded message, hung up smartly when I realised it was a scam/scare type call!

Caller: Scam claiming to be ATO.

Indian scammers suggesting I committed criminal activity and need to take action otherwise I will be arrested. Sorry Telstra, your security is not good enough.
