Caller: Email Email received regarding incorrect application of a discount on an old Real Insurance policy, resulting in refund being due (small amounts for each year the insurance was held and discount incorrectly applied). The email asked us to call 1300 919 022 to provide latest bank account details, but could not see this number on Real's website. Rang Real Insurance directly and had it confirmed that the refund of insurance premium (even from 10 years ago) is real. Real Insurance operator was unable to directly transfer, but did confirm 1300 919 022 is the correct number.

Stated that they were from Real Insurance and that I was owed a refund on my insurance policy for a car I sold over 4 years ago. Wanted bank account details which obviously I wouldn't provide. Told them to send me something in writing, so then abruptly advised they were donate my refund to charity. I terminated call.
