Did some research after being victimized by a service called GamesHaus - turns out this 8z mobile also operates under the name Mobipay and has an address of 100 William st. 2010 Sydney AU. Calling the 1300 will route you to their call center in the Philippines with this address - 1st floor Goodland building Gil Puyat Ave. Makati City. Feel free to pay them a visit and blow up both offices :-)

I have just sorted out getting my money refunded back into my Optus account from 8Z gaming First you need to unsubscribe when you get their sms then put your premium sms limit to zero contact your provider let them know what happen they may put in a complaint for you as mine did and this morning I received a call from the 8Z people and after explaining that I did not subscribe to them they agree to refund my money So if this has happened to you keep at it till you get your money refunded if it was not something you subscribed too

Hello world are scum - I did not subscribe text or phone the numbers to unsubscribe as suggested by hello world - I just phoned optus to check and I had clocked up $26 - the lovely people at optus said they could reverse the charges and put a block on so it doesn't happen again.

I have just received the same unsolicited text messages. I did not subscribe to anything and I am not paying for an service for games or any such thing. I have sent the unsubscribe text which no doubt I will be charged to do. These companies are unscrupulous and as more and more of our personal information is taken by apps etc, this matter is only going to get worse.

I have $18.96 charged from this 1300 886 534 number which I believe I didn't call. This must be a dishonest company that is running a scam using optus mobile & gettimg money from people without authorization. Is anyone can stop this company doing this?

I never check my phone bill as i get an sms with amount and date due, but it was unusually high this month so I checked it. Turns out this number has been charging my account since July 2014. Optus said they can not credit my account and suggest that I call them to sort it out. When i called them they said it was an online game, I don't play online games!, and that they are only legally obliged to credit me the past 3 months, a total of $111.30. I don't want to check what the total of this scam would be since 2014!

Does anyone know who i can contact to try to get it all back?

SCAMMERS using numbers like this should be sued. I am furious with my phone bill. I can tell you now I don't use these adult dating services!!!!!! Then for Telstra to tell me I need to get the refund from this criminal site (that is clearly evident by cases posted online) is even more annoying, I am sure I am not the first person to call Telstra with this complaint, and they clearly have the power to block these numbers or report them at the very least!

They charged me $50 before i noticed, its a scam Ive never heard of them..

spoke to customer support - the operator was mentally unstable and aggressive in an obvious intimidation tactic to stop me from perusing my refund. I received 3 prank calls shorty after our call which i suspect was her. I would suggest anyone dealing with this company go through the TIO which charges $1100 per claim. Companies like this are the lowest scum on the earth and should'nt exist

I just found the same problem on my latest Optus Bill - I had been charged $6.95 per week over 4 weeks and the same 1300 number appeared on my bill.
Optus were very helpful in rectifying this when I called them and blocked this from happening in future. They also refunded the amount charged.

I received a message to say I'd subscribed to a $6.95/week games site. Which I hadn't. I'd never heard of them before.
