Says its calling on behalf of origin energy and that I have an outstanding bill. I do not have an outstanding bill and moved out of said property over a year and a half ago

Very vague, won't give details about who they are or what they do until you quote a reference number that is sent via text. Very suspicious....scam alert!

called the company after getting a text and yes it is the credit agency that matches with my credit report. not a scam

after quoting the ref number when ringing. 1 you cant even tell me what the debt is for. 2 you have no name to go by when quoting the number. all the bells for a scam ringing in my ears. scam scam scam

sent me a text msg from mobile number 0484 081 011 claiming to be Origin energy offering 50% call 1300 789 037 with a reference number

Its for paying outstanding debts. They call, you pay, they stop calling, simple
