Time to answer your phone and deal with it! could be an overdue book/movie from years ago that wen you moved you forgot to take back and until that product is reimbursed to company (that you loaned from) on behalf of companies like dnb. every collection agency has these annoying tactics to find people, as these people either intentionally or not owe money for products or services that they used or damn well signed for!! In my experience i learnt the hard way....you should not ignore them because if it is something like a $6 movie u rented from 4 years ago and they persisted to contact you but you "ignore" them for 2 years as you moved 5 times, well for however long it takes for them to find you there are massive fees on top of what you owe and it only gets higher the longer you take to reply AND therefore im really thankful for this personal contact method cause they never did used to do this and had to chase you by snail mail/ "post" and was not fair to those, like me who simply forgot about a dvd and it ended up costing $260!! honest mistake which cost me a clean credit record and could not loan or rent anything until resolved!! just answer phone asap!!

If the debt is in the company's name, too late now, the company no longer exists. Unless you provided a personal guarantee or if it is unpaid super or paygwithholding - they can't get a thing.

Tell the entity no longer exists therefore the debt no longer exists.

I just received a letter to call 1300 663 826 as well.

It was for an old company I owned a few years ago. It's since been de-registered and ASIC don't have my new details.

I wonder how they found out...

I received mail from them, telling me that it is urgent for me to ring them, not sure if a company, return address is P.O. Box 7405, St Kilda Road, Melbourne, Vic 3004, will investigate a little more.
I am always wary about random phone calls ( which I never answer anymore), as I bought an answering machine that screens my calls, much happier.

They say they're Dun & Bradstreet & FIRST thing they want is my DOB! VERY personal information which I NEVER provide strangers over the phone, unless I call someone I KNOW & want something from them [eg: Optus, Foxtel, Origin etc!]

Yes, they send little messages without identifying themselves. I never call unidentifiable phone numbers. Perhaps they should get their own medicine by people sending them anonymous letters with phone numbers to call.

They are clowns - Dumb & Badstreet.

ha ha ha as if im going to call them back attempted contact September 4 2014 pfft what contact then send me a letter to my house. I think not!

They call from this number and leave rude messages also text demanding contact, they never say who they are or what it is in relation too. Harassment. I know who they are now by using this website.
