Caller: Marshall freeman

Received call from unknown number followed by a voice message to call back. When I called and quoted reference number, the agent asked for my full name and address and told that there is an out standing debt in my name by a taxi company. I told that I never heard of this company nor did any business with them. They said they will go back to client and check. I searched Marshall Freemason web and called on the number provided on the webpage. The agent confirmed that 1300 531 916 is their other number . They have the reference number in their record with a debt. He asked for my street address, that I told him, he informed that the person who ows the debt lives in SA with a different mobile number(same name as that of mine). I told him that I live in Victoria and never been to SA nor any personal or business connection. He continued to claim that they called the other mobile number and not mine. He further said that it may be a co incidence or an error that I share the same name as that of debtor in SA and that they will continue to call the other number to recover the debt. It all seems shady and frustrating

Not sure if actually a scam or someone has given them my number but do no call or text back, just in case.

I have 0 debts that I don’t know about so whatever this is, I’m not going to ring.

"Please call Marshall Freeman Collections as a matter of urgency on 1300 531 916 quoting reference EA3684308388" from Mobile Number 0408 518 670 (which has it's own long list of scam reports).

Received text message but when checked with company (different number) identified as a SCAM!

Had a call fm Marshall Freeman fm 1300 531 916 and from what we have read it's a SCAM!!!

got the same message, tried talking and he insisted it wasn't me on the account, no meantion of money or accounts, just name and phone number, feels like a scam

I rang Marshall Freeman and these are generated by computer But is real company, and real debt BUT PERSON WHO OWES MONEY GIVEN THEM WRONG NUMBER. Marshall Freeman collection co removed my number from records as debt not in my name, did not belong to me. In fact debt in Queensland with plumbing company and I live SA!

Not Marshall Freeman Collections, don't ring back, simple google search identifies their number as something completely different.
