Thank you. Been curious who this is. I have calls from this number only in last few months (had same number for ten years). I never answer as I only use phone for calling out and only 3 ppl have the number (husband and 2 daughters. SO my number is (paid for) UNLISTED) and have never given it to anyone else. I also have NO debts and never have. Guessing someone must have somehow fluked giving these debt collectors my number????

i get a call from them twice in a row every single day, usually around 7.45pm EST (as i believe they are in Perth). i have tried shouting at them, playing music into their ears, handing the phone around the room to random people, answering and letting them just sit there, telling them it's the wrong number, and many more. They do not give up and are a special kind of people. I hope one day I am at a party and - when we exchanging niceties such as area of profession - someone says 'I work as a debt collector'. I will kindly slap them and tell them they should be ashamed of themselves. But then, no one ever actually says they ARE a debt collector, even robbing candy stores is seen as a more socially inclusive vocation.

I jsut got a call from this number. The account in question is supposely from before i was married. When i got married, i was issued with a new credit file. is there anyway this can affect my new credit file?

Write or ask the person to provide:

"I asked you to provide the following reasonably requested specific items:
1. Proof of Claim that the alleged liability has been created in the form of an original contract.
2. Proof of Claim that the alleged liability exists in the form of a verified true bill signed by your client and charged to (Your Name). pursuant to the The Bills of Exchange Act 1909.
3. Proof of Claim that Citibank has the legal right and lawful authority to attempt to enforce collection of the alleged liability in the form of Proof of Agency."

Calling claiming to be Citibank to discuss "an urgent banking matter" I get about 4 calls a week from them,nits driving me mad!

It is harassment.They should atleast have the decency to leave a return phone number. This one claims to be disconnected when you try and return it. I have had unknown caller at 9am each morning. Obviously this is a new number tactic.How many ways can you explain that you dont owe the money they are claiming. Instead of a phone call send me a summons to court. That will sort it!

These bastards are true scum of the earth like geo said. They ring my mobile & home phone up to 5 times a day and never leave a message. They're complete arseholes who like to think they're powerful, but they're only another mob of little indian boys trying to play big boy games. Best part is, MYOB have set up a thing with them that ANYONE can use Dun & Bradstreet for a small fee as part of MYOB packages. Stupid part is, they actually do mean anyone.

Dun & Bradstreet also have the tendency to "accidentally" lose your payments or not happen to receive them even though your bank is screaming they did. They're pricks, d*ckheads, arseholes, bastards, muthaf*%kers and more. Hate them with a passion in case you never guessed. Only way to stop them ringing is to have their number blocked.
