complete Sham!! how do we report these guys to shut them down?

Scammers phishing personal details won't leave me alone. Never a see their calls or messages

I believe this is a scam because I don't have any debts outstanding. I phoned that number and the person who answered was in India. They seem to be chasing personal information which makes me conclude it is definitely a scam.

I received several text messages a week saying I owe money to a hospital up in Brisbane that I’ve never been to before. I ignored the texts then the phone calls started - about three times a week from Victoria. They never left a message. Finally one day I picked up and the man on the phone could barely speak any English. He said my name wrong, then started to ask for my date of birth and address. I said I’m not giving out personal information over the phone and hung up - thinking it was far too suspicious that this man could barely string a sentence together... they haven’t texted or called me since.

These guys are trying out their scamming in NZ now.
I haven't had a car accident in the last decade.
These clowns claimed I had one in 2017 - told them to take me to court.
But they just keep ringing and texting me.
Blocked them, and they leave voice messages.

They are Legit sort of and buy debt off companies. I had a debt with Foxtel due to credit card expiry so direct debit not going through. This was at a holiday house that had been vacant for a while. Got texts, phone calls and mail ( to a previous home address ). Rang up Foxtel & cleared the debt ( even though they hadn't stopped the service or notified me ). But there is not a chance that ends the matter with Milton Graham. They still chase, i block, they use a different number. I've told the Milton graham person on the phone i am more than willing to go to Court to stop the harassment but they don't care and keep emailing and messaging. All this for $220.00 I'm thinking the best way to get rid of them is to Ring the Companies that use them and in my case threaten to close accounts if they don't get it resolved. I realise for a lot of people it is false debt in the first place so they can't do that.

I have reported to Scamwatch, constant phone calls wanting my personal information, they say they have my email etc, so I said said send me an email while you are on the phone to prove it, nothing received of course. Just after you information so they can sacm you.

Have been receiving phone calls and texts for months and was positive it was a scam. Any debt collection agency would already have my mail/email addresses to send me notices. Decided to give the number a call to see what it was about.

They asked for my full name and address, which I refused to provide as they should already have it on file. They said they could not provide any further information without my name and address so I let them know that I'm aware they are trying to scam me, of which they denied. They then said to call the number on their website to discuss with someone else, and I then asked why I couldn't discuss the matter with him.

He then disclosed the first name they had on file, which I advised was incorrect and he stated he would remove my number from their file.

My hope is that they blacklist numbers when they come to realize that they will be unsuccessful at scamming.

Keep getting calls from him . He’s using 5 different numbers my phone has protection on it and tells me it’s a scammer calling .. I am not in any debt just wish he would leave me the hell alone .. scammmmmer that’s all he is don’t give him any personal details..

I,too have received an email, requesting immediate contact. Many months ago, they left a msg on my ph, requesting immediate contact. Then nothing for months. Now the email. I have no debts. I would imagine if it was legit, a letter would have been sent to my address. Quite disturbing & not quite sure where to contact or not

I was sent a text message saying I had a $779.65 Synergy debt significantly overdue. I rang Synergy just to confirm current amount owing (actually $3.00 in credit) and I blocked their number. Please, if you are getting this kind of text, ring the company that they say you have an outstanding debt with and confirm your current balance. These people are scammers who are preying on innocent people. Just don't reply, ALWAYS call the utility company mentioned first.

It is disgraceful that Fair Trading is doing nothing about this

Keep getting called about a debt that I have already long ago repaid. They keep ringing . Every time I have blocked a number, they ring again on a different phone and leave messages that they need me to contact them urgently. The reference number changes every time too

no such company, scammer, extortion is their business, same old tax debt fraud that everyone should know about by now, tell caller to rack off any way you want.

Caller: Milton Graham - called one of my mobile numbers

A person from Milton Graham called my father on his mobile (I am the registered owner of this mobile number) and was asking for me. My dad did not give them my contact details and asked to take a message for me to call them back. Phone number 1300 367 854 plus Reference number *** *** **. I called them back and provided the reference number they had my first and last name - wanted me to verify my information - address and DOB. I told them they will need to tell me - they have 'island road' and a DOB in 1984 - so clearly not me. I told them that information was not correct and they asked again for me to provide that information. they could not disclose anything about what it was about until this was done. I told them oh well - I am not going to provide you any personal info - based on the data you have so far. Assume they have my name and mobile number from Telstra - but no other relevant information.

Msge left on answer machine, please call 1300 367 854 and quote ref. no. xyz regarding an urgent financial/legal matter. Called number, quoted reference number xyz. Operator (foreign accent) asked me to confirm my details however would not tell me what details they had on the file - I refused to provide information. Operator then asked me to confirm I was person abc - Name was not anyone in this household & I told the operator this. Also told him this was the 3rd or 4th similar message that had been left on our answering svce - each time a difference reference name/number and each time a different 1300 number to contact them on. Asked for operator's name, the name of the firm and location, then said I suspected this was some kind of scam and that as I am an employee of the Federal Police Svce, I would be making a formal complaint regarding the matter. Operator very quickly said my details (whatever they were!) would be removed from the file and I would not receive any more calls regarding the matter (What matter?!). Am very confused as to how I keep receiving these types of calls (in various formats) as our number is on the National Do Not Call register! Please tell me, am I correct - is this a scam (attempt) or do I owe some unknown creditor out there in the ether somewhere???
