I received a text message asking me to call the 1300 number to discuss an important matter and quote a reference number. I called back from a private number but the call taker would not discuss the alleged debt with me until I gave him my full name, DOB and other personal details. When I asked why he needed so much personal info he hung up. Figure they'll send a letter if they really want to discuss 'an important matter'.
I don't have any outstanding debts so figure it must just be a scam.
A debt collection service like dun and Bradstreet can not, and are not permitted at law, to call you more than 3 times in a week (or 10 times in the same month) in any state or territory in Australia.
The government authorities and ombudsmen will help you.
It is a proven, quick and easy stop.

I haven't answered the calls, got a text message today saying I owe Lumo Energy a certain amount. I had to Google who Lumo Energy were, seems it's Red Energy and I've never had an account with them. The harassment is getting annoying! Now i know what they are supposedly ringing for I might answer them and tell them to bugger off!
Got this scam today twice. First got a weird phone call asking me to "press 1 if it was [insert name]". I hung up. Then got a text message from Dun and Bradstreet. they are still farking scumbag debt collectors!!! wake up fools they call and annoy you? Did you give them your number to call and harass you? No so why be so polite! NOT SCAM. I called number from their website and not the one in the message and it is a true debt collecting agency. I hate sacms and this isn't one. Its not a scam, its a debt collection agency (Dun & Bradstreet). The number is correct. they text me a full message to tell my daughter to call them immediately and quote a reference number. I called as she is just a kid and they said they need to speak to her due to Privacy Act. She has no debts or bills so I was worried it was a scam but I got her to call and found out it was regarding a pharmacy bill for the hospital that we had actually paid. We gave them the reference number so all is good. Appears to be a scammer. They request information such as credit card details, birth date, home address etc and are unwilling to provide formal communication to support assertions that a so called debt unpaid actually does, in fact, exist. Dun & Bradstreet collections callback Caller: Milton Graham debt collection
They left a message on my work phone to go to www.miltongraham.com.au or to call 1300 171 592 as soon as possible.
Caller: Not sure, they say they are ring on behalf of ATO
If they are debt collectors why are they call if I have no debt.
Very Very confused and angry.
Caller: Claimed to be the ATO
Said I had un submitted tax reports. I contacted the ATO and they said this was a scam and that the ATO had not been in contact with me singe July of last year.
Caller: Miltn Graham Debt Collectors
It's legit. So I received a massage to call them back and quote number., A lady answered and asked for my name then asked for my number. I said why do I need to give the info to you when you msg'd me, should you guys have this info already? It's a bit sus and then she said they are trying to contact the right person and there are a few numbers under that quote, so it's not me they're after (I don't owe anyone money :) ) so they removed my number from their file .
Caller: Text from MiltNGraham
It reads "Hi, we have been trying to contact you to discuss and important matter...
(as above). Note they have not addressed me by name. Very sus and secondly they appear to have my phone number to send the text. So why not just call me? Very, very sus.
Caller: Milton Graham, Formerly Dun Bradstreet
This is a scam from a group stating they are Milton Graham (Formerly Dun and Bradstreet). Initially I received calls and texts saying they were a credit collection agency with an urgent matter. This company actually exists online so I called them but was suspicious. They were very cagey in their responses and I then googled further and there were threads stating this is a scam I largely ignored the attempts to contact me and I blocked the number. I then received a call yesterday from (03) 9039 6560 by a pushy guy trying to get me to answer questions. I hung up on him. Now today I have an email from them! Saying I have been pre approved for a payment plan for my phone bill. I do have an overdue phone bill from the company they quoted but I logged onto my account and paid it just fine so whether this is a coincidence or not I don't know. Seems like a scam to me

I've received multiple txt messages from Milton Graham (Previously Dun & Bradstreet), after a month on constant msgs I decided to call them.
I quoted by reference number and was asked for my name, (I only EVER told them my FIRST NAME ONLY).
I was asked for my full name and D.O.B. but refused politely and asked for more information regarding why they have contacted me.
They asked for my name again. I said my first name only.
The lady apologised and said that name doesn't match the information on file, she said she'd remove my number.
Hope this may help anyone, I'm still unsure if its a scam or legit. but I think it's always best to protect your own identity by refusing politely.
Caller: Raj, apparently from Milton Graham, formally Dunn and Bradstreet.
They keep calling and sending messages and when you call back they want personal details before they will tell you why. I don’t owe any money so I know it’s a scam. This has been going on for at 6 months. It InitIally started from a pathology bill that I’d already paid and they said they were debt collectors.
I received few messages regarding this to call back on this number with reference number but I do not have any pending debt. I also beleive they might be refering to someone else.
In the message its said if "you received your tax claim back to call this number to pay pending debt."
I received message once a week.
Received text on my mobile to call 1300 171 592 an indian lady answered and asked for my full name DOB and address details, I asked why I received this text, she said I am one of her client's referrals, I asked who is your client and she wouldnt tell me, I said I am not giving you my details, she said I legally had to before she would tell me who the client was, and even then that can only be disclosed when D&B ring me, I said well call me then and goodbye!
