My elderly mother received a call today from this number claiming to be from the commonwealth bank fraud dept and request a call back.
When I rang the number it sounds like cba legit with options to press etc I got through to an Australian sounding girl who claimed to be an advisor and wanted to check transaction details! I declined and rang CBA immediately it is NOT CBA and they do not recognise this number .....BEWARE ....this appears to be a scam operation!

I received a message asking me to call this number as my CommBank account had been blocked due to fraud. I have confirmed with Commbank that this is a scam and this number is not the number for Commbank.

I got txt message from CBA, Suspicions acitivity in France do I wish to proceed the payment? Reply YES or NO. I have done NO. Then immediately I got a call from no caller ID says my name and to contact this number.
I called this number and the lady got ID check on me (DOB, address, full name) and I gave them because I could see the $7000 deductions on my Credt Card (in some sort of French company name in FRA) by the time. Then I got really scared and she told me CBA will issue a new one in 3 - 5 working business days. Then I even called the number in 02 9999 xxxx back of my credit card (She actually offered me to call the number if I am not comfortable to discuss ID with her) to just making sure. He ( on that number Lost or stolen card report Centre 24/7 number) told me all my activities on bank account when/How it happened (about 30 min ago 11:57pm midnight cancellation, the credit card account was not even shown on netbank. All process of texting, calling and id checked. Fraud transaction record and so on.)

As above. Automated Voice recording left on my mobile message bank. Intended for my Husband ( and they had his name ), claiming to be from CBA that his account had been blocked due to either Fraud or Suspicious Activity. The same phone number of 1300 360 971 was given.
