It isn't Telstra. standard scam format.
Scammers who pretend to be Telstra/NBN/nab or other well known business claiming you are about to be disconnected. They aim to get some crucial info from you and then rip you off.
Typical info they are after:
1. ANY bank account details or password. THAT is the JACKPOT for scammers
2. Login details (esp passwords) to your computer or internet. Aim is to hack your system and steal any personal info you have stored.
or to hold you to ransom by blocking your access until you pay them a fee (and ideally get your CC details in the process)
3. Gain access to your social media/email and other platforms. Steal your identity. Pretend they are you to hook other victims or to open fake accounts in your name and run up bills which may well rebound on you.

I only answer "hello" and wait. Like many scammers they gave up and hung up after 5 seconds.

Caller: Telstra Techinical (supposedly)
One of many calls saying they are Telstra Technical and there is a problem with my internet, that someone is trying to hack my account when I am browsing. All this with heavy accents. When I said they were trying to hack me or scam me, he passed the phone to someone else, and I said I am sick of receiving these calls and they are scammers, they hung up. I usually just hang up but thought I'd see what they said today. I am on the do Not Call list

claimed to be from Microsoft, but when I challenged how they obtained my number, "stated Oh have your number on file for long time?" I stated, I don't have Microsoft, I have Apple. Then I stated scammer & liar, they hung up real quick?

Number shows up as 1300 304 590. Overseas scammer obviously using bogus number which seems to unfortunately be that of a legitimate business (without the leading zero) 1300 304 590
Do you have a comment about Mechanics or 1300 304 590?

Number actually 1300 304 590 claiming to be from Telstra, no doubt to tell me my internet is about to be disconnected due to "dubious" activity. I'm sure if I paid a fee they could prevent it. MORONS!
