The last four payments that I have paid to ARL have disappeared. Scam.

Called them back and they are telling me I owe PayPal money from purchases from March 2017 I have not used PayPal for a long time. When I questioned the lady on the phone she sounded lost and not really sure what to say .

Get atleast 2 calls a day sms messages daily to call them i call them and they advise they looking for someone with different name to mine and say they will delete my number for there system, then they call again saying hello mam could i speak to the person who died in the car accident 2 years ago? Like seriously wtf? There numbers are on the do not call list they then call a week later going on about eBay this and eBay that! I dont even use ebay never have and never will coz of these clowns! They hire people from over seas and use a Australia number then redirect call over to there country hence why they call at 10pm ect coz pakistan and india are about 6 hrs behind australia time

Time ACCC took action, this number must belong to someone and can be traced.

Got this message from 1800 303 853. Same story. Stating arl are wanting me to call.
Thing is.. the number for arl is 1300 303 852.

Also.. i literally bought this sim card yesterday and it is not connected TO ANY of my accounts ANYWHERE.

So.. its a scam. And the only place they could have got this number.. is from the pre paid optus sign up process.

Dodgy as hell.
Im not even on that mobile now.. it literally isnt on the net.
Hasnt even been recharged with credit yet !

SCAM

ARL are a large well known debt collection agency. They are not a scam. Call them.

We keep getting messages left on our answering machine asking us to call this number urgently and leaving a reference number. Surely if it related to a debt you would have some correspondence first - not just repeated phone messages!

Scamming under the name Australian Receivables Ltd by email. Sent multiple emails and asked to dial this number.

I find it funny I'm getting these messages and they are looking for someone I've never heard off.. I text them n told them stop calling n texting but they keep going I even blocked number

Had "Yuol" call from "ARL" requesting call back on 1300 303 853 ref;1039.... also advised. As prev mentioned as a debt collector for Ebay. I have been told by EBAY (without the padlock symbol in URL) that I owe $ but I have seen clearly the payment come out of my bank for the $. Yet Ebay (without the padlock symbol in URL) refuse to acknowledge payment. I believe using the Ebay site has redirected to a scam website and the "debt collector" is part of this scheme.

I also just received this very same sms its a scam as i also do not owe Ebay any money!
