I just got the same txt a couple of days ago and I know my family and I are debt free so why do these people send me a txt?

They are DNB. They have continued to call me using an automated dialer and left voice messages every monday, wednesday and saturday

They sent me a telegram tonight. I disabled my voicemail yesterday and shall divert my phone line to their head office :) Im sure that shall give them something to figure out :)

i got this telegram as well from 'cassandra' - asking to call 1300 133 372 - but the weird thing is, i KNOW i have a centrelink debt. it is because i took a loan out with them, then got a job before it was all paid off. but i have been paying them weekly (in fact i'm ahead of schedule), and must be very close to being fully paid off.
so why the dodgy telegram?
strange way of performing business if you ask me.

I just call them -(did not want to disclose any personal details) they told me that they will send me a letter with the explanation what is this message about. I ask them who they are and they did not want to say anything except the name of the suburb I live.

hey guys If you are not sure and would not want to verify details ... They will tell you the name of the suburb and year of birth , So in that way you would know that they have your details and then you can verify your personal details , this number is for centrelink debt collections in Dun&Bradstreet , Because I had a debt with them and a lady there helped me with that .. So this is not a scam off course :) Hope this helps !!

They are real...debt collectors for Centrelink also.

I received the same message my concern is i just recently bought something off the internet www.her-libido.com/ which i never do buy online. My product was dodgey no feedback from them and now this.Weird!

If you're seriously concerned or considering believing this scam, try calling Dun & Bradstreet on the phone numbers listed on their actual website (dnb.com.au). Email clientservices @ dnb.com.au or call D&B Client Services 13 23 33 or (03) 9828 3333 for international callers. Come on people - If you have a genuine debt, you should receive a genuine letter (on official letterhead with ABN + business details etc) detailing what that debt is for. A random sms, phone call or telegram is not reason enough to give out personal details to a stranger.

Same here. They left a message on my mobile on Sat..very dodgey.

I'm being hassled by these people, they want to 'verify' my personal details. They refuse to tell me what it's about. Can anyone through any light on this? I'd like to call the Privacy Ombudsman if anyone know the number for them?

I just received the same text message. I know it is a scam. Sounds way too dodgey....

They are not scammers and they are based in melbourne in St Kilda road ...

They are scammers from abroad. Have Indian accent and claiming to be business partners who wants to give you a cut in return for a small payment.
