another freaking scam, answered, they started the spiel and I told them i was a police officer. they hung up quickly.

Never talk just answered. Nothing important never rang back.

Smells because those claiming to represent a major charity are using different CID numbers & when called back you get an answer service. They fail to ID the charity when they call raising a big red flag.
They are persistent calling numerous times.

Caller: Rain forest ?

Very persistent asking for money to save the rain forests & animal. She asked could I give a donation of $55, I said “NO”, continuing to ask could I perhaps give $40, answer “NO!” again. Kept going on about giving some money’s ..... bloody hell how many times to they not understand what “NO” MEANS ?? So I hung up on her...............

Call 5 times a week and leave no message

Rang mobile late at night , possibly didn't realise 3 hour time difference. Called back and caller stated was a " well known charity". Probably scam, so blocked number.

Got a answering service when called back. "Australian leading charity..." vague, hang up did not bother to listen any further.

I returned a call from (08) 9513 2281 but reached vm for a fundraising call
