Caller: ATO

ATO scam doing the rounds again. If you don't know about this you get a recorded message saying that a illegal case is getting put against you and you need to pay money to ATO. The message will say you need to call back straight away to fix the problem in the process losing 100s or 1000s of money to a lovely scammer overseas.

David (davidamazon0021)(08) 9468 8924) sent me an email stating I have authorised a payment for a computer screen with Amazon. The email advised call IT help if you did not make this authorised payment. As I didn't make this payment I called David and he said many ppl are calling complaining of these email scams, and he had advised he needed to access my computer to scan to see if my computer was compromised. I asked multiple times is this amazons policy. He said yes and he advised me amazon was downloading a security program that took 2 days to ensure I would never be hacked again. I kept asking is he sure he said yes this is amazons policy he works for IT amazon. I called a friend in IT and he said turn off your computer this is a scam, so I did. Do not believe David, what he is doing is illegal. I hope this message reaches those before any harm happens. Take care.

Apparently I'm going to be arrested if I don't call this number back. Automated voice recording. I withheld my number and rang the number back, and surprise, no answer.

A "lost" suitcase type scam, don't answer and ignore the SMS

This number just called me saying that if I dont call back there will be an arrest warrant in an automated voice message.

ATO scam doing from this number and playing reordered message stating that a illegal case and please call back to this number otherwise arrest warrant will be issued for you

Recorded message saying an arrest warrant had been issued and to call them back. I blocked the number.

Automated person saying I'm going to be arrested for an unpaid ATO payment.

Robocall saying I had to call back or be arrested. Ignored it.

Caller: Australian Tax Office Scammers

They called as the Australian Tax Office. I assumed it was fake seeings as I am 14 years old and don't work so I hung up. The voice sounded recorded and American which would be wrong as the ATO is in Australia (duh). It is clearly a scam. If you get a call from here ignore it or hang up straight away.

They called me an hour ago, didn't seem right but had me going for a bit. They hang up as I called my tax accountant on the other line. I called back, but then they keep hanging up.

Recorded audio message said that illegal suitcase was found under my name. I need to call them otherwise i will get arrested

Caller: Caller stated that he was from the Australian Tax Office. Spoke with an American accent

Called my number and told me that he was from the Australian Tax Office and wanted me to call that number right back. He said if I didn't call back, I will be arrested by the Australian Tax Office. I mean really? I don't owe any tax to the Australian Tax Office so why would I call that number? That scammer is a fool! I'm not!

I called back number (08) 9468 8924 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.

Received a call from this number saying the same thing as mentioned above.
