Left the robot recorded message similar to those already mentioned here. Definitely a scam! I contacted the ATO and reported this number.

Left a message on my answering machine reporting to be from ATO. Am getting really tired of these scams targeting older people.

There are scammers sitting in Pakistan, trying to rob innocent Australians, pretending to be from ATO and scare you for arrest warrants if you dont pay your Tax.

Dont call them back !!! Its a scam.

Robot voice claiming to be from ATO. Threatening, strong use of threatening words. Block the number. Do nothing else.

Same as Miss Hunter; robotic message telling me a warrant was out for my arrest from the ATO with an execution order to be fulfilled ?? supplied a reference #. Called back, line rang then went to busy. SAM

Left a recorded robotic voiced message claiming to be ATO and I was going to be arrested by men who would be arriving at my door shortly! I needed to ring a number asap. I never give them the satisfaction of a return call and I just deleted message and ignored it. However I can understand how the elderly could feel threatened by such a message and fall for such scams. So annoyed this is still happening to them.

Robotic message threatening that there was a federal warrant out for my arrest due to outstanding ATO issues. Picked wrong person, my taxes are always up to date, I am an Accountant. Beware of this SCAM!!!!

Automated/robotic message saying a court case against me from ATO and warrant for my arrest. Didn't bother calling back as I knew straight away it was a scam

Pretending to be ATO, automated voicemail message, sounded like Stephen Hawking just before he died.

Definitely a scam. When I asked questions the d*ck head hung up.

Phillippines accent guys called from perth local number (08) 9467 7866, asking to pay $3900 right now or else arrest warrant will be issued for committing fraud with the tax.Only 1 hr time or if the call can be dropped, getting arrest warrant issued, passport , driver license will be ceased.Asked to pay the amount in the post office.

Left a robot voice message claiming to be from the ATO, warrant for my arrest, etc. The exact same wording as the message used two years ago. The message sounds scary, but I just had to laugh. Clue: didn't use my first name or any other identification details. Scam scam scam.

It is a scam with several English speaking Indian callers purporting to be from the taxation office

Recorded message said they were calling from the Federal Police and have lodged a case against me for failure to pay taxes. Total scam.

If we have the phone number, why don’t the authorities track these scammers down and prosecute them?
