Left a robot recorded voicemail on my phone explaining that they were calling from the ATO and there was a warrant out for my arrest. Called back and had an Indian sounding person on the other line. Definitely a scam.

This is a known scam. don't call the number.

Just had this call. Very polished voicemail saying ATO had warrant for my arrest and to call back. No way. Smells of scam.

Recoreded message saying its the ATO and Ive been dobbed in for fraud, a warrant out for my arrest. I called number back a few times abusing the Indian liar. Poor people that will get scammed by this utter scum.

This time it was an Englishman speaking in crisp English who announced that ATO had a warrant for my arrest. The last time it was a heavy Indian accented English voice. Whatever it is, don't respond because ATO will only contact you formally by letter. I am desensitised to these calls so i simply erase it immediately.

Same info as everyone else. Automated scam call saying there is a legal case.

Tax scam

Automated message requesting callback regarding tax issues and an arrest warrant. Definite criminal scam.

Number was unfamiliar to me so I didn't pick up. It left a robot voice mail saying they were from the taxation office. They also said they may issue an arrest warrant but they didn't say WHO they needed to contact so this is obviously a scam.

Caller said "taxation office director's number is TX 6972. As variable...against your name....a warrant for your arrest. You can call taxation office on (08) 9467 7866. The number again (08) 9467 7866. ........" This is a scam & hoax and should be reported to the state & federal police because it is a federal offence (1) purporting to represent a federal agency (2) abusing telecommunication system to commit a crime (3) committing a crime of abuse and threatening the community ie you.

Phoned me didn’t leave a message I thought it was from a legitimate person turns out it’s a scam very annoying

When I answered a robotic recorded message explained that they were calling from the Federal Police and that because of an outstanding issue with the ATO a warrant was to be issued for my arrest and that I should contact the ATO on a number and using a reference I didn't catch because I was driving. (using hands free of course!). There was no answer when I called back.

ATO arrest warrant Scam!

Yeah got the same robot recorded voicemail call saying the call is from the Federal Police on behalf of the ATO and that there was a warrant out for my arrest. Hid my mobile number and rang them but they hung up without answering the call. Telco's need to work out a way to back channel these callers and catch them out for prosecution!!!

Had the same thing happen to me & my mum. They are a waste of space & should be hung.

Sounds very similar to scam calls I have had in the past, usually around this time of year. Always ignore.
