Caller: Claiming to be BankWest (08) 9449 2840

Confirmed scam. Claimed that suspicious transactions had been made on my card. Went around and around, but when I told him I did not have an account with BankWest he hung up immediately. I confirmed with BankWest fraudline that I do not have an account. I suggest if this person calls you, phish for as much information as you can get about yourself from them and string them along to the full. Record the conversation and send it to the police.

BankWest imposter. Youngish Australian girl's voice. Gave me two numbers. Both have been reported for scam.

Caller: British accent geezer

guy claiming to be from Bankwest just called me, told him to come to my house for a knuckle sandwich. at least get a clean connection line if you're trying to scam someone, sounded like he was underwater. call me again dare ya dog

Man with a British accent claiming to be from Bankwest saying that there had been attempts to access my online banking from Indonesia and make a $950 payment - supposedly calling to make sure it was me making the payment and telling me I needed to set up a ‘new temporary account’ to protect my money. He knew my full name and the last 4 digits of my card. Alarm bells went off so I went into a branch and confirmed that no one from Bankwest had tried to contact me. This number tried calling me over and over about 10 times after - so many times I couldn’t even block the number for several minutes as they just kept calling! Then tried again on two different numbers and a no caller ID.

Still doing the rounds got one today.. 03/09/22

Caller: Was fake call from credit card fraud unit for my Credit Card

Do not answer any questions is a scam. I cancelled my credit card as soon as I got off call - low life!

Caller: "Gary Clayton" from "Bankwest"

"Gary" called me and claimed to be from Bankwest. He was very convincing until he asked me to transfer money from my "old" account to the "new" account he was setting up for me. Which was when I asked if I could do this from my local branch. Apparently, they don't have access to the magical software needed to transfer the money properly. I hung up.

This number has called me 11 times in the last half hour.

Caller: Scam pretending to be Bankwest

Knew last 4 digits of my card, calling about suspicious activity, called bank west and they confimed nothing to do with them.

SCAM!
Trying to get bank details from me claiming that I had fraudulent activity on my Bank West account! Scary that if you call back the number, it is a Bankwest audio recording, however it does sound a little off. I rang the Bankwest fraud hotline and they can confirm there was no activity on my account.
BEWARE! .... looks like he's been doing this since 2015

Scammer who somehow uses BankWest number to call and try and get money from your account. I usually check the number to see if calls are legit so its scary they can use the company number.
