Googled the number before answering, found out it was NTC (Thanks guys!), went along with the conversation and told them I sourced better deals my own way, than what Optus were offering at the time - The lady was soon to finish the phone call, as I wasn't taking a bar of her call!

been going on since I moved over to Optus couple weeks ago, grrrr, ive tried the suggestion above to optout so we'll see

They have been calling me each day also, from what I read and have experienced so far their tactics are ruthless. Only reason they persist is that they get paid by Optus for each contract they make. I am an Optus customer like everyone else so I gather they have access to the Optus customer data bank. I am going to contact Optus and inform them "that this company who are operating on Optus's behalf is using aggressive tactics and will not accept no as an answer. I am thoroughly p'ed off with them and because Optus allows this behaviour I will not be renewing my contract with them." I think if enough people tell Optus that they will not renew business with them because of this company's tactics, then Optus will finally do something about them.

NTC who work on behalf of Optus - they aren't Optus but are hired as a THIRD PARTY company to promote and manage new and existing Home and Internet plans as well as Mobile plans - hence the "on the behalf of" when they call. They are not a scam. They follow the same process and use the same systems as the Optus sales team only outbound. Optus has outsourced to this company for years and they also sent an email advising some customers that they will be giving information to third party companies. There was also a link in the email which gave you the option to fill out a request form if you didn't want them to do so. As for the calls and hanging up its linked to a Dialer system. Could be the reason why so many of you have problems with the multiple calls and such. I know all of this because i took the time to look into NTCs website and spoke to Optus as well. Call 1300 300 427 if you want more info from Optus.

Asked the stuff if it's a sales call the staff couldnt answer and finally said no, and she just lied. I hang up the phone they called again. I'm going to take it serious we will see how we go. Not a good idea to disturb someone and call again

Claimed to be from optus. Phone said known it was known to be associated with a "Scam or Fraud." Hesitant to pick up but did anyway. They appear to be phishing security questions and answers. Do not respond to them.

Optus outsourced telemarketer trying to up-sell product

me too......I get two or three text messages a day that I have a missed call from this number..

Continual calls and when I answer the line goes dead after about 3 seconds. Pain in the arse.

This is indeed the number for NTC as Midwife has said. It is not a scam. They are contractors that call to upgrade your phone plans etc and upsell products for the company you have joined with. I'm glad they did! Got an excellent internet deal!!

When the call comes through, my phone tells me the call could be a fraud or scam. Then when the number gets recorded into my recent calls, the name Wayne Twu comes up. Doesn't even seem like a real name. I have blocked the number and reported it as scam, yet some how they can call from the same number again. Be very cautious.

I have been getting a call from this number almost everyday for past couple of weeks.
Definitely a scam.

Unsolicited calls

calls twice a day ,everyday then hangs up.i have registered to donotcall and they still do it.
