Its a new scam number. They try a different one each day.Not happy Jan It is from NTC voice which is a telemarketing service for many companies
you can OPT OUT of all calls by going to www.ntcvoice.com.au click on contact us and then click OPT OUT
Continuous calls from this number including weekends. I do not answer and they do not leave a message. It's just a nuisance. Some f*ckwit I checked with Optus officially. Optus said this number definitely not one of Optus team's number.
So It could be a fraud call
Be careful guys
They kept calling me everyday. I bet its a scam Received calls from this number for the last 3 days in a row, never answered the calls. After reading this page I've now blocked the number. Never get to talk to anyone, they hang up too soon. Number now blocked. A name came up on my phone Wayne Twu. Of course I didnt answer the call NTC who work on behalf of Optus - they aren't Optus but are hired as a THIRD PARTY company to promote and manage new and existing Home and Internet plans as well as Mobile plans - hence the "on the behalf of" when they call. They are not a scam. They follow the same process ans use the same systems as the Optus sales team only outbound. Optus has outsourced to this company for years and they also sent an email advising some customers that they will be giving information to third party companies. There was also a link in the email which gave you the option to fill out a request form if you didn't want them to do so. As for the calls and hanging up its linked to a Dialer system. Could be the reason why so many of you have problems with the multiple calls and such. I know all of this because i took the time to look into NTCs website and spoke to Optus as well. Call 1300 300 427 if you want more info from Optus. Told me they we're from Optus and tried to get me to upgrade my plan because I 'go over 4G data too frequently' yet I've never gone over it in the 4 years I've been with Optus. Told me I could upgrade to 10gb of data plus the latest iPad. Wouldn't stop hassling me to agree to a contract, told them my parents pay my phone bill and they would appreciate it if I didn't agree to upgrade my plan. He responded 'like they would care you're getting a free iPad'. Then told him 'okay email me a copy the contract before I agree to anything' he refused to do so unless I agreed to the contract, so I hung up. From Optus!!!! It’s just a scam. They want ur date of Birth and ur address. Be Aware..... still calling almost every day!! over it every day last few days now over it!! An indian accent guy ,,,,saying he is fro optus and asking me if i have internet at home.. Optus should know that i have internet with them in the fierst place. This caller is coming up saying it's from Perth, Australia. They have called me almost every day for the past two weeks even at 8pm at night!!!
They are going to get some words next time they call !! Then blocked !!
Nothing to do with Optus.
Don't confirm or give out your information.
They make too many hang-up calls to be private company.
Said he was from NTC or NDC? Couldn’t understand him.
Said he was calling on behalf of Optus and wanted to offer me something but needed to confirm my details.
I told him I don’t believe you and said to email me with the one you have on record.
Have tried the OPT out option. Funny that they say to register on Do Not Call register when I already am so obviously they don't check that anyway. outsourced telemarkerting
