I answered a call from this number on Wed after they rang and didn't leave a message.When I answered and they advised me who they were I advised that I wasn't interested but she didn't listen. She just kept going on and on and on and eventually I just hung up.For the last 2 days I have received phone calls from this same number and they just hang up whenever I answer. Today I've started hanging up on them. By the way they say that they are from Optus. My suggestion is register your phone number on the Do Not Call Register. Big fines apply if they do contact you

I got a call from this number last week, missed it and no voicemail. Similar thing happened to me last year (around the same time too) and I googled it and realised it was a scam. So after this call from an area code I know nobody in, I googled the number again and found this thread. Got another call yesterday and ignored it, and no voicemail was left again. Just got another call tonight and I ignored it again, however they did leave a voicemail. I check the voicemail and it was just background noise. This is really starting to piss me off. Its very much a scam. BUGGER OFF!!

I got a call from this number today. strange it only rang about 4 or 5 times. I called back a while after and got a recorded message with an indian accent saying it was from optus blah blah blah so I hung up. I looked up the number and glad I found this site. However I am worried now there might be a surprise on my next bill, as mentioned above by A Boland.
