Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to bring to your attention our Westinghouse stove range hood WRF900CS Serial No. 812-00386. We purchased our house in Sept 2013 and the previous owner had a new kitchen installed prior to putting the house on the market, in 2014 the range hood stopped working. We rang Westinghouse and they came and replaced the fan motor at great expenses to us. Now in Feb 2017 the fan stopped working again. We suspected it was a switch problem and again rang Westinghouse and was told it was the fan again. We still have the old fan that was replaced.
I asked if we could change the fan as we are on a pension and cannot afford to spend all this money every 3 years on a new fan. We were told No. We have had Westinghouse appliances in the past and have always relied and their durability and very satisfied with the performance especially our washing machine, but I am very disappointed in the Westinghouse range hood. Most of our friends are also on the pension and I will certainly find it difficult to recommend Westinghouse to our friends. We now have to wait until next Wednesday so as the repairer from GE to get another fan unit that now makes three weeks we were unable to use our stove ‘not good’ .
We are truly disappointed in this Range hoods performance . Awaiting your response as we find the whole issue embarrassing.
The unit was installed this morning and we were charged $277 and would like to be refunded this amount. Receipt No. Invoice No. 0170210076. The installer remembers coming here in 2014 and said they should not break down in 3 years.
