After reading all these comments,i will never ever answer this number. They have been ringing me at all hours including 9pm at night, for many weeks or months. I will never ever reply to any call if they won't leave a message,no matter who it is. So they are wasting their time and money with me. You can't get blood out of a stone, and i am a low income earner battling from week to week. I owe nobody nothing and have a great credit rating. I do not need this sort of crap at this late stage of my life. They are dead set low life arseholes.

Very rude collection Agency!
Yes I owe money etc, but they ask you very personal questions such as how much does your partner earn, your parents earn, would your parents be willing to pay your mortgage in order for you to pay this bill, what about grandparents will they help you out?
They do not reason with you regardless of your situation. Payment plans are not an option but I wouldn't give this company a single cent even if it means a black mark against my credit rating.
If you owe money to GE or any of those sort, pay them direct, do not pay lion finance!!!!!!! I repeat, do NOT give lion finance a single cent!
Plus they will continue to harrass you for money after you pay! Saying you owe interest fees etc. If there is zero owing on your bill then there is zero interest. You cannot gain interest on nothing.
Idiots!

These guys need to make a certain number of calls a day. They don't leave a message and hang up if you answer the phone. The job would be mind-numbing boring and they have to make a fixed number calls every day. We get called once in the morning and once in the afternoon - if we are really lucky we even get a call in the evening. Tried blocking the number but somehow they get around it

They phone you every few months because they want to increase your payments. The problem is you will probably never pay off the debt as the interest charged is about 25% and most payments only pay the interest (if that) and never the principal. Then, when you try to negotiate a final settlement amount, they will want the full amount with no discounting. The big issue is they only paid 10% for your debt, so if you owed $5,000, they paid $500 for it and will in the end collect about $10,000 for it. They don't care if they cause you stress, they don't care if it breaks up your relationship - they only care for money - they are miserable bastards as is everyone who works for them.

They are relentless, they will call 7days a week between 8am and 8pm & sometimes 3-5 times in a day. They call off several numbers & never leave a message. Block the numbers or if u want to have a bit of fun then answer the call & put ur phone on the bench then from the other side of the room call out “hello can u hear me” every so often. You will be surprised how long they will stay on the line...my last caller hung on for 13mins

We are glad we have found this website to confirm that Lion Finance are a nuisance caller. Like the other blogs Lion Finance have been calling for weeks, mainly at night. They have asked my wife for her date of birth and address, of course we did not give this and they refuse to stop calling us.

We have registered our complain with:
(a) Credit and Investment Ombudsman 1800 138 422 http://www.cio.org.au/
(b) Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (Privacy Commissioner) 1300 363 992 https://www.oaic.gov.au/

Wrong. Debt Purchase. Look it up. They don't need a contract if your debt is on-sold. You would have been sent a Notice of Assignment both from your bank and from Lion Finance and as a mercantile agent, they can litigate if you fail to pay the debt. Depending on how large the debt is and what state you are in, they can Bankrupt you, get a writ over goods, place a garnishee on your wages which means your employer pays them directly and you get the remaining pay, or have a court ordered payment plan known as Instalment order. All of this also means you'll have a judgement on your name. Better off negotiating honey
