I'm guessing it's a dummy number. These are used because people often won't answer private number calls and it prevents people calling back an outbound call center. With the Do Not Call Register, exemptions are government and charity, and if your number can be found on the internet it is considered "publicly sourced" and old super companies might be trying to contact you.

Rang back to see who I had missed a call from and got a "Thankyou for calling Contact 121" - when I checked their website at http://www.contact121.com.au/ it is basically a marketing / sales provider website so they are telemarketing on behalf of a client (whoever that is).
I am on the Do not call list however as I inquired about a couple products for quotes recently, my number is now being called every day from these idiots, despite my saying I am not interested at this time. Very annoying.

I called back number (08) 8124 0600 reached IVR of contact 121, based on IVR they are a provider of multimedia contact and BPO services with complete inbound and outbound customer sales.

Keep getting a call from these ppl leave no message and always call about 5 in the avo everyday!!

This number is from the Defence Housing Australia call centre (mine was an emergency call on the weekend) - it's is not telemarketers,
