I called back number (08) 8121 8436 rang once then goes to busy tone.

Caller: Scammers

Missed the call. Conversion to text said:

You missed a call from (08) 8121 8436, who said "___ You that your account has mark lien for tax avoidation(?) paperworks(?) sent to registered address has also returned back unsigned and undelivered for this the petition." This message was provided by Telstra at no charge to you.

Caller: Pretending to be ATO

Definitely scammers alleging unpaid taxes.

If you answer you get a pre-recorded computer generated message pretending to be from the ATO claiming there's a warrant for your arrest, etc etc.

Its a scam to get you to provide your personal information for them to steal your identity, as the contact details they provide is not associated with the ATO in any way.

Apparently they are going to issue an arrest warrant!!!!

Recorded message saying my accounts are marked for tax avoidance & that I have a warrant out for my arrest & that my mail has been returned unsigned and that I needed to call them back.
Very dodgy, scammer for sure.

I answered. Automated message from ATO saying I am being investigated for tax avoidance and warrant will be issued unless I call back immediately.....definitely a scam.

Definitely Dodgy! I had same call. The ATO would never call and leave a message like that. Relax, you can ignore it just scammers....

Robotic recording claiming that they were sending a "warrant for my arrest off to execution"... Was clearly a recorded message, super sketchy.

Got a miss call and called them back, the guy seemed very confused and told me to check my voicemail. It was an automated message about a warrant for arrest or something along those lines. Most definitely a scam

Said from ATO but they would not contact you in this manner, suspect scammer and hung up.

100% scam caller.

Automated recording claiming tax evasion and warrant for arrest. Terrible grammar and script in the automated voice.
