I received a call from (08) 7477 8039 a few days ago from an Irish woman who kept calling me 'mate' and 'luv'. She was flogging Life Insurance and wanted to arrange a follow up call from someone in the Insurance industry. I questioned how she got my number and she said it was from public lists of competitions that I may have entered. I tried to be polite but eventually said that I was NOT interested and that I did NOT want a follow up call and that I had to go. The line went dead. A few minutes later I received spam on my mobile from yiyoutuo24 @ 163.com

This morning I received another call from the same number. I said hello but there was silence on the other end so I promptly hung up.

These guys keep calling the mobile number for the sim card that is in my samsung tablet! Everyday for the last week I have a new missed call when I unlock my tablet to do some work! How on earth did they get the number!!!

Got a call from the same number and didn't get a chance to say hello by the time I got my phone out of my pocket, after a Google search and reading about it, It sounds like a person that is a telemarketer, I have saved the number in my phone, then blocked it, Its very easy to do with a iPhone, go through your received call list, go to the number information, scroll down to the bottom, and its says "Block this Caller" So its good bye from that pesky caller, 1 of many that have called.

Just received a call and when i asked what he was after i was told to be patient as he would get to that in a moment, really! goodbye.

I answered the phone and heard silence on the other end. Hung up straight away and now blocked. Also received two missed calls from a number that people are complaining about also - (03) 9020 0325

Called back and got that same voice message.

Telstra should provide an address look up on listed numbers so you can identify who exactly is calling.

If they want anonymity then they could/ should hide them number and we'll better know not to answer and can't call back.

Got a call from this number today. Some strange voice claiming he could see me.

Thanks for being there Reverse Australia ..... I just received a similar rude call from this number. After an unintelligible opening announcement, I challenged the caller with what this was in relation to ..... and he abruptly hung up. I called back, out of courtesy, in case he had dialled the wrong number and was confronted with the same message as AMY on August 7. I have saved the number as SPAM CALL #1 ..... won't be answering next time !!!!!

Next time, if this number calls again, just let your phone hold as longer as you can but keep quiet. So we will make they pay a massive bill for telephone.

Missed a call, when I rang back it had an answering machine saying the call was not important and they will call back later.

I got a call from this number and I could not answer because I was at work. Then in the evening I call the number and it said it was from somewhere and that they will contact me if they need me. I am glad it was just a telemarketer. I will not call them again. Thanks People for posting this on the net.

A telemarketer named Adam called me and when I answered the phone I was left hanging while they were finishing their conversation. I was annoyed and he bluntly asked if there something wrong and I said 'yes' I don't know who's calling me and you can't even introduce yourself. He than replied saying no you wouldn't know who it is unless you're telepathic then hang up.

just got a voice mail from this number with the creepiest prank call I've ever had, so blocked the number. What is wrong with people?
