Answered landline call from this number (Adelaide based). Pre-recorded message: "Dear customer. There is a payment request of $1399 for online shopping on your Visa/Mastercard. Press 1 to report as fraud or press 2 to approve." I hung up without pressing anything.

I suggest anyone who hears an Indian accent on the end of a random number, to just start ordering extra papadums whilst enquiring "are your papadums gluten free". Your call will end with them screaming while they hang up.

Caller: Scammer purporting to be Nathan from Telstra

Related phone numbers (08) 7092 2501 and (02) 7251 9521 - yes (02). This attempted scam continued across 3 numbers in a space of 5 minutes.

I received a phone call on my mobile from a male purporting to be Nathan from Telstra. It was a call centre. The scammer stated that my internet would be disconnected as over the last 3 or 4 days, Telstra had detected that I was using the internet on a Public IP address and not a Private IP address. Had I made changes to my computer in the last few days. Without answering the question, I asked his full name and was provided with it. He continued asking the question - had I made changes to my computer and in relation to another question from me (about Telstra) - he stated wouldn't answer my question unless I answered his question. I stalled and he got increasingly agitated, and I then hung up. Immediately, I had a follow up phone call from him on the (02) 7251 9521 number - yes (02) instead of (08). His annoyance / anger continued - had I made changes to my computer and when it was clear that he was getting nowhere, I received a "Take care of yourself" and the "AFP will be notified". He then muttered that I was an idiot before hanging up. There had also been an attempt to ring me from (08) 7092 - 2501 with no message left whilst I was on the (02) call. I followed through with Telstra and yes, it is a SCAM. Reading some of the other experiences on these three numbers on the Reverse Australia website - SCAM 101.

An Indian sounding man said he was from the technical department but I sensed it was a scam call so hung up.

A regular occurrence lately - after midday Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
When phone call went to our message bank, they left a recording of "Piano playing".

Useless people, wasting Peoples time and their time and money.
Why don't they get a REAL Job ?

Fake Telstra. This same Indian scam centre calls multiple times a day from different numbers.
