Interstate spam

Male caller with Indian(?) accent said he was calling from Amazon (interesting to note he did not identify himself by name). Claimed a hacker in California had used my mobile ph. no. to set up an Amazon account and because it was linked to my bank account, had purchased a $499.00 mobile phone. He then went on to say that this hacker could see all activity on my phone and bank account and would I like to remove him? When I asked how this would be done, he said I would receive a 9-digit number to put into my phone. I then said I get lots of these calls and never know whether it's a scam or genuine. I think he hung up when I said 'scam' because the line went dead. :D!!

Said they were from ANZ and wanted me to authorise a credit card transaction for $1299 on my account that i don't have

Said she was from Telstra and I would get 30% off my bill for the next 6 months, clearly a scammer, told her to get a real job and hung up!

Said was calling from Amazon - woman with Indian accent. I said “no you’re not” and hung up lol - blocked number

Received the miss call on 26/06/2024 10:55am with no voicemail

Said there was a problem with my IP address, when I asked him to quote my Telstra account number he hung up on me. :) - Gotcha

Didn't answer. Looked up comments, so seems to be a scam.

Hung up when it went to voice mail. Therefore I assume that, as mentioned above, it is some sort of scam.

Claimed he was from Commonwealth Bank and asked if I had made a payment this morning. He hung up when I asked for the account no. he was referring to.

Rejected calls from (02) 7251 7513 and (02) 7251 7510 had triggered a call from this number. I believe it was spam.

Caller: Vodafone Imposter

Its a robot voice calling about Vodafone, its fake. Hang up immediately

Asian sounding woman from call centre claiming to be checking up on internet speeds because of upgrades supposed to be going on in my area. Checked the number and found all these reports so hung up on her.
