Rang 5 times in 3 days and I told them to stop calling..I think it's a SCAM.....They are now on my blocked list, but should they call again I'll have a huge deafening device ready to blow down the telephone. I'll NEVER EVER donate to the PCYC. I have no idea where they obtained my phone number as its Private and INEVER buy raffle tickets from anyone for this very reason.

Elle get your facts right before posting this is a "scam". You are passing mis-information on to other people.
This is not a "scam". PCYC is a legitimate charity and this is a legitimate raffle. Why don't you just ask for your number to be removed from the call list, rather than using aggressive and distasteful tactics to someone who is just trying to do their job?

(08) 6454 1074 claiming to be put through to Sarah from PCYC, every night for the past 2 weeks at the same time EVERY night.. Ive now blocked the number, so hoping this works.. are they scammers ?? don't care anymore.

I also have private number and am getting these calls. 4 in the last 6 weeks as we have caller id. As it is charity it looks like they can still get our numbers even when you register on the do not call list.

Called me three times in 30 minutes... didn't pick up first 2 times because I didn't recognize the number and I'm not listed. Finally picked up out of fear that it was something important and it was just some scammy sh*t. No idea how they got my number, haven't signed up for anything online or anywhere else for that matter. Asked politely at first to be removed from call list, but when they called AGAIN 15 minutes later I had pretty much lost my patience. I'm trying to write my honors thesis, I don't need these mindless interruptions from call centres and scam agencies from losers who have obviously never made a legitimate attempt to obtain a decent education themselves. Please get a proper job that contributes to society in any way. Even being a professional rubbish-collector in public parks earns more respect than this sh*t. Cheers.

Why bother going to all the trouble of blocking numbers etc ... they will keep ringing, which is what people seem to be most annoyed at. Just answer the phone (or call the Head Office - 9277 4388) and ask to be removed - simple!

Also those that are making claims this is a "scam" - get your facts straight first before posting stuff like that. This is a legitimate charity with a a legitimate permit for their raffle. (PS those that are complaining they are on the "do not call" register .. charities are exempt from this legislation.)

Rang the pcyc number, explained that was getting constant calls from their raffle hotline number and asked them to take me off list...girl just laughed and hung up...have been averaging 6-7 calls a day...Now going to tv station current affair program....and also getting legal help...blocking these people doesn't do any good as they are exempt, because they are a charity.

have rung every hour for last 4 hours, also have private number, have now pulled phone jack out of wall, so fed up.

If this is a legitimate charity and someone is trying to do their job why are they hanging up when the call is answered?

Why are they harrassing by calling constantly? Ineffective charity/business model which underminds the organisation.

I never use/ answer my home phone which is a private number, I have just turned the ringer on this week and answered this call today to hear a woman in a conversation with someone else. She realised I had answered and said "Hello" to which I said "Hi" then she hung up. Went through my call logs and have had many calls from this number every month from February sometimes twice in one day. Silly.

It should not be the onus of the homeowner to call and request the number to be removed from records and not bothered.

Fair enough you want to do your job, call once or twice fair enough. Constantly calling and hanging up - you're a pest. Get a life.

Ive just change my number to a private one only a handfull of people got it and this number rang.. really!!! why cant the telephone companies stop this happening ..

Had a call today from this number. My landline is unlisted so I answered it as I never receive unwarranted calls. It was a woman claiming to be from pcyc trying to sell raffle tickets. I Informed the caller that I don't give out any personal information over the phone and she politely thanked me for listening and ended the call. No idea where they got my number as I'm very guarded with it.

Called me twice this week around 6pm to my mobile; no message left.
When I called the number back it is a recorded message saying I received a call because I have previously donated to PCYC & if I want to query call 1300.....

They cold called me today, appear to be scammers. Now on my block list!
