I called back number (08) 6228 4013 reached voice mail for a company called Telstra Business Center. We run our own business and telemarketing calls are a real pain and time waster! Because our phones are registered as 'business lines' we cannot go on the 'do not call' register.....another pain! Most of the calls are computer generated and only connect to a sales person when you answer and hold on for quite a while.......during this pregnant pause, it is usually a good time to just hang up and forget about the call.
If private people can choose to go on a 'do not call' register, why do busy owner-operated business people have to put up with these kinds of needless interruptions that waste their precious time? Why don't we get a choice?
This number called most days and when we answered it just hangs up. Turns out (08) 6228 4013 is Telstra. If you call the number back and press "2" you can opt out of receiving the calls. Apparently it takes 30 days to process the request but fingers crossed it works! So frustrating! This number rang both my wife & self last night on our mobile numbers. When answered, there was no reply. Sounds fishy to me too.
In regards to callers on "private" numbers or overseas, I answer in my best Italian accent, telling the caller " Mr. ***** isa nota home" That gets them off the line. I also had a number of callers from solar companies, who were dispensed with by telling them " there'sa no sun here". Confused, they hang up.
They try to mislead you into thinking that they are Telstra, but they are actually an on-seller. They have limited information; if they really were Telstra, they wold know my Telstra email address from my bundled account.
They are backpackers on commission in a call centre.
I have been receiving calls from (08) 6228 4013 for the last few days and when I answer they hang up. Calls were on 16 and 22 June 2017. I have made past complaints about this number. Telstra *I pick up phone*

Keeps calling and doesn't leave message. Obviously spam Really had enough of these guys calling. I answer they hang up, when I finally did get someone it was a on behalf of telstra seller, told them not interested and remove my number, but they still call my personal and 2 business phones. This is not their only number either. I can block them on the mobiles but not the business landline. The next time I actually get someone on the business landline I'll be telling them again to remove the number and advising them I've kept a record of their name, date and time of call. Should i get another call I'll lodge a complaint with our telstra business rep and see what happens. spam , quite often call. Two times a day usual crap This number is very annoying, keep calling me every day, about two to three times a day, I block the number already, waste my time and effect my working hours!!! Huge complain!"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! at first they said TSA, then after said was from Telstra Business Centre.

call me every day FFS Keep ringing, so glad I created a listing for them as I can’t let it ring. they call from time to time (maybe once a month) and just sit there waiting for me to hang up as they know it is a number they've not had success with me previously. I will presume that they are paid to make the calls so need to reach a quota. Annoying that you can't report them. Telstra business blocked it but continues to ring anyway on multiple numbers unknown source continues to ring
