I have blocked this number

Missed the call. Shows up on my phone with the message "Potential Fraud - block number" Called back in case it was important, but no answer, so I guess they are just phishing for valid numbers to sell on to others.

Let it ring out. It's reassuring to see from the comments here that I made the right choice.

Recently received a spate of calls from mobile numbers. On answering them, I hear recorded music and female voice speaking an Asian language. I assume it's a number generator test-calling numbers to check if they are valid, then onselling them - hence this call tonight. I have my number on the Do Not Call list, but that doesn't seem to solve these random calls.

Unfortunately, I must answer mobile numbers, since my mother's medical team use mobiles for contacting =\

I called back number (08) 6219 5742 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.
