Marina left both a voice message and text message on my phone saying she was calling from Pioneer Credit. She said the message was urgent. When I called she asked if I knew a person I used to work with. I later found out that she also rang other people. Marina said she got my number from a public database and appears to be from a debt collectors agency.

Similar t the other comments, woman stating her name was Marina but giving no other details left a message wanting to get in touch with someone I've never heard of that she said gave me as a reference. Obvious scammer. Like others here say, reporting these scams to the Police is the best thing to do, even though they will probably do nothing.

Marina called, didn't say where she was calling from but did say she was trying to contact one of my neighbours, asked me to pass on her details so they could call her urgently, regarding a personal matter. How they get our details and know where we live is very scary.

Said her was Marina Petch. Similar to all comments 'personal financial matter' that's why can't share personal information but wants me to pass on her details. Kept changing questions and answering my questions with more questions about trying to get more info about the people being called. Said she found my number from shared available data by looking up my address?? Would not give me company name everytime I asked. Harass the bitch and waste her time like she's wasting others.

This person actually called my mum asking for my husband (lets call him John Doe). My mum answered the phone and Marina asked to speak with John about an urgent financial matter. My mum, called John and John told me. A few hours later, one of our family friends (I'll call her Jane) called John saying the EXACT SAME THING! Jane said that someone called Marina called wishing to speak to John about a financial matter. We kind of ignored the first one, as John had checked his emails and found nothing about any financial issue, but having Jane saying the same thing had us worried, so I looked up the number John had been instructed to call and found this website. THANK GOODNESS! We told my mum and Jane to block and I sent them this site. What a day!

She phoned, did not a answer, then got a message, it said she was looking for Brendon, I do not know any Brendon that I would tell her about.
Then got a voice mail asking about a Brendon Coote, I do not know any Brendon Coote.
Then I contacted this web site with a search of the phone number.
Story is very common with others, I did not ring her.
I usually send a return message that says something like, have a bath, clean your teeth, brush your hair and sit quietly and wait for the police, you are nothing but a bottom feeding low life oxygen stealing scum.Get a real job or die of starvation.

She said looking for someone named Steven something, I said I'd never heard of him. She said this call was being recorded just before I hung up.

Same as all others. Rang, I didn't pick up as it was an unfamiliar number. She left a voicemail wanting me to call this number regarding a Scott O'Donnell (I don't know anyone with this name). She also messaged.

Wanted me to write a note for her and give it to my neighbour whom I don't know, had a really old unit number of mine, not the full address, just the unit number, was all very strange. She said she's from Perth and accessed my Name from a database, then we had a one sided conversation on how you shouldn't use privacy details collected through work for personal matters. And I said I didn't know that person and hung up.

I received a call on my mobile. The person said Hi is this .... said my name I said “speaking” she said “Hi I’m Marina from Pioneer Credit do you know a person called Qu Ping? I said “what company are you calling from? They said we are a finance company from Perth and searched up on our database as we are trying to get in contact with Qu Ping. I said I don’t know that person. They said that they searched up on database and I shared the same address as this Qu Ping. I said “No this is a scam. I don’t know anybody that name, nobody lived here under that name”. She said she will mark it in her system. Sounds very dodgy. She knew my address and name. Might be looking at some data system with people contact details. Scammers! She did sound Australian too. No overseas ascent. Very dodgy!!

A person calling themselves Marina called on mobile and landline asking to be called back at earliest convenience in relation to them being able to contact somebody unknown to us called Anthony Robinson, so very clearly a scam.

Woman called Marina called my husband. Said she found his number in a ‘public database’, however referred to him by his nickname (all public records have his name in full, no abbreviations).
Were asking him about a name we weren’t familiar with (it transpired it was his tenant).
So dodgy. Don’t give any information.

Marina called my partner asking about his tenant. When she first called, she announced it was Marina from Pioneer Credit. However, when we asked again, she said she was from an ‘office in Perth’. When we persisted with questions, she just avoided them and used a lot of ‘ummm’s’ and ‘errrrs’. If this was a debt collector, I presume they would employ more than just one woman. Super sketch!!!
