I received the call from this number and he was pretending that he is calling from ATO and asked about my Credit and Debit card number to refund the overpaid tax.

This number advised they were from the ATO and I was getting a tax refund. Absolute scam!

Indian lady said she was from Amazon even somehow managed to send a text message from “Amazon” with a verification code but instead of asking for the code asked how many devices I have and if I have a pc??? Said I’d been charged $39.95 as an auto renewal and she would help me get that refunded. I hung up and called real Amazon and they confirmed it was a scam and a number not at all associated with them. She called back and i said they are scammers and should be ashamed of themselves and she said no we are not we are Amazon I’m trying to get your money back. I said I’ve reported the number to the police and she hung up. Reported to the phone number. So incredibly disappointing people choose to make money this way.

Just called me asking about a domain name i used to own and that she wanted a tattoo done.

I also received a call from this number and he was pretending that he is calling from ATO, i simply said no your not and he hung up, wish i had more time so i could have wasted some of his

My husband received a call from this number and proceeded to tell them all the details of our account. I asked him what he was doing and when he told me it was the ATO I told him to hang up. Very close call! This guy was Indian

Yep pretended he was from the ATO and i was to be paid back $978.

When i said i wanted confirmation via email he hung up straight away.

Had 2 missed calls this week from 07 5641 2297 when try to call back from call earlier this week with my number not displayed they didn’t answer each time first day (called a few times.
2nd day 11/3/20 missed call each time I called back with number on silent (about 20 x haha) rang once then they kept disconnecting
Called with my number displayed & a male with Indian accept answered & same as above told me I had a tax refund due from ATO & wanted my details. Told him he’s in big trouble now calling Optus & any agency I can think of

They are full of scam.

Pretended to be from ATO and asked Visa or MasterCard details to refund some tax. When I said, let me check the number with ATO and Victoria Police, they hang up the call.

Was some indian guy that called me, said a bunch of words and then hung up. Phone call lasted 9 seconds.

Received a call from this number, missed it. I called back.
Wanted my credit card details for an ATO refund.
