Caller: Mater House Lotteries Charity Mater Hospital trying to sell tickets in their House and Car lotteries. Calls become more frequent and insistent when a draw is about to close and they haven't yet sold all the tickets. They don't leave a message on voicemail because they use a computer to call you instead of a person. This optimises the human operator's work time. If you answer, the computer will transfer you to a human. When they're busy, there can be a delay transferring you to a human so it might seem that there's no one on the line for a number of seconds. I agree it gets annoying. Now, I recognise the numbers they call from and just reject the call on my mobile. Thankfully I don't have a landline.

Caller: Mater Lotteries apparently from reports above. I am so heartily sick of these people harassing me from a variety of numbers on both my home and mobile phones. I now let all calls on my home phone go to the answering machine and block these numbers on my mobile but then still get annoying messages telling me I missed calls from them. Then they call me from different numbers. Thank goodness I can check them here and block them yet again. I will also soon be pushed by their crass pushiness and greed to the point of cancelling the ticket subscription I already have with them. I have supported them for years despite being a pensioner with limited fixed means but their greediness and high annoyance factor is making me think I would be much better off either supporting a less greedy, and, therefore, more appreciative and more appropriate, organisation, or putting the money towards my own ever growing basic living expenses.

Yes, they win prizes. It's legit. The winning ticket is publically drawn so it can't be faked. If your number got drawn, do you think they wouldn't give it to you? Imagine the outrage!

Mater They always call on Friday afterwork... so annoying. I already sent a message asking for my number to be removed from their list. It's 2020 for the love of God, get a better way to market and stop harassing people that are already supporting you.

Caller: Mater lotteries I've started letting numbers I don't know go straight through to voice mail. Usually if they don't leave a message, it's a fair bet it was somebody trying to sell me something. I get one almost every day now. It's infuriating.

Caller: Mater prize I got a call from them yesterday the 13th October I purchased tickets from them on 12th October what the hell. I think it's time that government bans these organisations as this is just pure harassment begging for money. Plus is it really true that people win major prizes?

Caller: Mater Lottery They rang me today wanting more $$ but they don't leave V.M. I already buy their tickets have been since 1998 and I still haven't won major prize so I say scam. Gets rather annoying when you buy tickets off them and they continue to ring you wanting more money.

I didn't return the call, thinking it was another Art Union. Messages here confirm it. I stopped buying from the Mater Art Unions years ago because I found their marketing to be too aggressive. They really need to think about who they use to market these tickets as it seems to be in conflict with the hospital's motto and values. I now invest in other charities.

Caller: Mater lotteries I don’t understand why, if you have made the effort and bought tickets that they then find the need to call It’s rude & intrusive Nearly enough to never buy off them again as I haven’t had this issue supporting other similar lotteries

Caller: Mater lottery Well really, if I want to buy tickets, I’d be calling them. I have asked them in the past why they don’t leave a message apparently it’s against company policy, unfortunately that doesn’t align with my personal policy of not answering unsolicited numbers or returning calls with no message left, on my phone.

Caller: Someone from (07) 5638 0099 (missed call) I missed a call. I googled the number and found this page. I logged in to the Mater Lotteries website to unsubscribe from phone calls but there was no option to do so. I phoned their support number 1800 067 066 and it was answered straight away and politely, and I was able to easily unsubscribe from phone contact. Hoping this helps all who don't want the phone contact.

Caller: Mater lotteries They call current ticket holders to see if you would like to purchase additional tickets in the draw they haven't fully sold out yet, or they also call for the cars lottery when you have purchased tickets in the house lottery. I've asked them every time they call to take me off the call list but they haven't. I'd love to block their numbers, but I wonder if it's the same number they call from if you're a winner??

Agree completely. Believe they are third party professional ticket sellers who operate on a commission basis. Told them not to ring me again and to take my name and number off their list. They claimed they couldn't do that. What a load of rubbish. Likewise, if they continue to harass me, I will not buy any more tickets.
