Do not call register does not include charities!

Charities are actually exempt from the Do Not Call Register as stated on the ACMA website

Honestly people, stop complaining, just tell them you're not interested, say it nice to them please. You can't register this number on do not call register. Also, stop with the profanity. The next time they ring, say no nicely and they will stop ringing you, hopefully. So please stop complaining!! This phone number isn't a scam!!

i have a theory, that they are telemarketers that get paid by the phone call, so are only interested in making the connection to get your number on their phone bill to prove they called you

I am also on the do not call list, the do not contact list and every list I could ever get on. I only have to block them, but next time they call i might answer them and get them to hold the line for a while

I am a Business Development Manager and I call back every missed call as sometimes clients ring on different phones. It is most annoying when I call back a number to find that they do not answer. I too have returned a call to (07) 5635 4628 to find it rings out and no message able to be left. What a waste of time for me as I now obviously went on the internet to find the caller...

i would'nt mind the call as i have been a long term suppoter, I just dont like the hang up as soon as i answer

The least they could do as a charity is have some manners on the phone, rather than swearing at you

If you have iOS7 installed on your iphone you can simply block the number. Go to settings, phone, blocked, add new, then enter number. End of problem.

called the 1800 number above they anwered as Surf Lifesavers but was told my caller was Lottery!!!!! anyway asked for my name, gave the surname and they could tell me the rest... they said they would take me off the list, but then said BTW charities are exempt from Do Not Call Register, which I already knew.

If this number is Surf Life Saving... they should save money on phone calls to those who've obviously donated in other ways at some stage!

If you can't block the number, save it in your contacts list as ANNOYING TELEMARKETER then you'll know to ignore the number next time they call.

It's Surf Life Saving Australia - classed as A CHARITY! So it does not matter if you are registered on the Do Not Call List as they are not included. I just tell them I can not help them at this time and they leave me alone, no problem. They don't get commission and are only trying to raise funds for a good cause, so why get stressed?!
