First had a call from them (ATR) back in November 2014, said no but they insisted I should at least have a look at their publications, so I agreed as I was new in business and thought any help with tax ,paying staff etc. would be great help. So I received the package and read it and she had also told me that if I wasn't interested I could send the pack back as there was a 16 day cooling off period. I sent it back after talking to my husband. The cost $539.00, my husband was quick to tell me that the same information was available for free through the taxation office.
I then started to get the call from "Christine" she told me even though I sent them back I was still obligated to pay the outstanding invoice of $539.00. I told her many times I had sent the pack back. She rang again a few days later to say the pack hadn't arrived so I was definitely obligated to pay the invoice now as the cooling off period had finished. I told her I wasn't paying for something I didn't have. I asked her if I had signed anything and she said no it was a verbal agreement on the phone.
This has now been going on since November and is still going on. My husband has been on the phone with her and she is very harassing and intimidating saying we have to pay.
Truly this lady is so rude that even when you hang up she rings and rings back. We are so overwhelmed with this happening nearly every 3 days.
I have spoken to the ATO and they have said if I didn't sign anything then I don't have to pay for it. They are now sending me overdue statements demanding payment. All correspondence I have received from them hasn't even got my correct last name on it.
Please anyone how can we get rid of this nasty nasty person "Christine"

Do not deal with this company.
They make threats but just ignore. they are breaching consumer rights.
