Received a call on 1 March 2013 and they were trying to sell tax support. Useless and annoying.

My husband and i received the same call from the same rude arrogant lying person called us today who actually tried to tell us she was with the ato! I reportered them to the ato complaaints line. What a scam and how dare they try marketing us using a government office title!!!!!!!! Call the aurthorities. Get the details and report them!!!!!!!!!!

Just received a call and thought I'd check out the number on this webpade as I have just agreed to look at their information...now I'm scared! Had Sensis sign me up to an agreement I didn't want and then try and get money off me instantly. Now it looks like yet another scammer out there. It's sad that you can't trust talking to anyone over the phone anymore and businesses are just trying to bully hard working people into paying out their hard earned dollars!

I have had this same problem with the ATR. I just got off the phone to them, I was STUPID enough to let them send me something to "look at", which I believed to be samples. I was told that if I didnt like them is all they asked is they send them back. I was cleaning up my desk and I found them and I was about to send them back. They called me today and asked me what i thought and i told them it wasnt something I wanted to subscribe to and i would send the items back. The lady was VERY PUSHY with me and told me that they were due back by the 25th January and I would have to pay the subsciption. I told her that I would look into it. NOT HAPPY. Bloody Scams! Can they really put me on a subscription from a phone call? Don't I need to sign something etc etc. She reckons that the recording of me agreeing them to send something out is enough. its $539 a year!!!!

Just received the call. Sounded obviously like a misrepresentation of the ATO and she got a quick shift. She was still babbling on when I hung up. I'm in Sydney and very dubious of calls from (07) being a Qld prefix. Not the first call, last week they were pretending to represent my local LJ Hooker real estate LOL.

This is an absolute joke. Jan has the most awful disgusting attitude I have ever come across with someone trying to sell products or services on the phone. Their information is ABSOLUTELY useless. She is extremely pushy and will not take NO for an answer. Do not let her "trick" you - she pretends to be from the ATO.

Same deal here. Got phone call from pushy sales person trying to sell me the ATR products.

Very pushy staff who offer to send you a free offer. Don't be tempted it's garbage & they automatically subscribe you. Also won't take no for an answer so you basically have to hang up. What kind of company tries to get business by harassing people? I refused the free offer and was basically told I was rude & unhelpful. Um, are they actually are trying to sell me something? Anyway, rant over but save yourself the pain & say no or hang up.

I would like to know the outcome of some of the people who have followed up with legal advice or anything, I'm experiencing the same thing with Jan at the moment. I don't want the service and I don't think it's the right way to do business

The same story, being hounded by "SO AND SO" from ATR. If I'm not available she's telling my stff that she's from the ATO and not the ATR - making us look bad. Talk about hard sell! I got scammed by the same woman in 2010 and last week she called again!!!. I let her waste her time with the same rubbish and when she was done she said "so how would you like to pay?" I'm like... No thanks I said I got scammed in 2010 and not again. She basically called me stupid for not signing up and said I'll call back when you have had time to think. RUDE, ARROGANT, SELF RIGHTEOUS.

We used to subscribe to the taxation reporter only to be told by our accountant that the information is available for free from the tax office. We decided not to subscribe any longer and now we get calls at least 3 times a week. The voice message that they leave informs us that they must ring the tax office urgently. Somebody somewhere must be able to do something about these people. Its harrassment.

Just got a rather persistent call from someone who at first sounded like he was from the Australian Taxation Office but who was in fact marketing the Australian Taxation Reporter. Unethical marketing tactics as described and very pushy. Should log a call with the Consumer Affairs Department

Had a call from a bonny about 2 weeks ago, advised she is from the Taxation Reporting Office.
Gave me her spiel on how they would save me money on my taxes etc. She then asked for my visa details. I advised her she is welcome to forward some info and I would look it over. Just had a call back demanding payment. Advised I am not interested. Apparently by accepting info I have accepted to join. I hung up. She just called me back agro I hung up. Very rude and demanding she told me I am obliged to pay.
Told her her am getting legal advice and will not give her anything.Tried to call her back 0n (07) 5503 4389 as I was in disbelief as to what just happened, I wanted to check the business name she might answer inorder to follow up. No business name, just a recording that she is not available. Hmmmmmm. Look out, these people are discusting.

Well just recieved a call from Cathy, she was looking for the cheif partner of our business when she called in telling me she was from the Australian Taxation Reportiong Agency. I told her to speak with me and asked what the call was call was about, she started by talking about tax and then I must have thown her off and she hung up. I have the number screened via caller ID and tried calling the number back and it rang out. DONT DO BUSINES WITH THEM, THEY ARE OBVIOUSLY LOOKING FOR EASY TARGETS!

Woman called Christine phoned regarding some supposed outstanding invoice & offered me $380 worth of new information for 'Free' which she was going to include as part of my payment. Only paused for breath to ask me for my credit card details which I declined. Requested she send me the information in writing to my email address - wasn't sure she could as 'the person able to do that was away', however, she'd call me again tomorrow to ensure the payment was made straight away - yeah right! She then asked me in a very derogatory manner that "I did know what she was talking about didn't I?" as if this Australian Taxation Reporter was a very important part of my business. Gladly waiting for her return call if she dares.

received a call from these people. was too busy with kids and said send some info. sent it straight back to them. my son gets a call at home, while i am at work and women demands my number from him. she calls me and say i owe money to them. i told her the info was returned she insisted it has now come to their credit office and i have to pay this.Im on fire by now told her i never agreed to this or signed any papers and not interested in her business. she continued to bully me and i hung up. I called her ans, service when i finished work and told never to call any of our numbers again or I will get police involved. OMG! see what happens

I received a call from the ATR very sweet little old lady called. In the end to get of the call I said send me the info and I would look at it before deciding. I was OS for 13 days and then I started getting the calls, threats and aggressive abuse to" do the right thing" and get your Credit card out and sort what you owe. " you don't want to put a little old lady out of a job do you. BEwARE and don't let her push you into anything. eVIL
