Foreign accent, telling me they were from the local council doing a survey, but the number was toowoomba based and I am in Brisbane. Didn't ask anything very specific, but I think he was unnerved when I asked why he was calling from Toowoomba....said he was using VOIP. sounded suspicious.

They said they were the ABS to me too. Telstra should shut this line down, and the Queensland Government prosecute for false representation.

Office background noises no one there. called back "your call could not be connected please check the number and call again"

A heavy female Filipino accent saying from local council. Me: which local council? Her: Queensland. So, there is no such thing. Her: a quick yes no answer required. Me: goes silent. Her: hangs up.

Asked for me by name but then rest of conversation did not make sense. Something about a survey
Caller did not sound Australian.

This number has been calling me every day this week at about the same time. They do not leave a message.
