Caller: A scammer

Automated voice claimed to be have frozen my tax number as I'd done something illegal and said i needed to press 1 so i wouldn't go to prison. Hung up, some type of phishing scam. Be aware.

Received a missed call from this number. No message was left. Getting more of these types of calls lately. If they can't leave a msg it's most likely marketing or scam.

A mechanical male voice informed that my tax file had been suspended. At this point I hung up.

Told me that I needed to give tax file number etc to avoid a fine.

I received a call at 4.49pm, robotic male voice. I did a google search on phrases "tax file" and "Services Australia" and the word "suspended", and found this page. My call was from (03) 5457 9243, listed as being in Murrabit, Victoria, population 201 hahaha. I will now do the lookup for that number and report there too. Nasty!

Recorded message Tax file number to be suspended due to suspicious activity. Press 1 to talk to the ATO. Highly unlikely

Caller: Some low life scammer

Got the same threatening message as others. Thought I'd have a little fun and mess with them so decided to Press 1 to speak to someone. I told them I was recording the call. Then they asked how could they help me. I said you called me, so speak! The gutless wonder on the phone said p*ss off and then hung up. Pity, I was really looking forward to some sport.

Robo call re taxation no being suspended (SCAM). I blocked the number and infomed my phone provider.

This guy knew my name straightaway, someone must have sold my details. Said he was doing survey, i just said ot interested.

My phone automatically blocked the call. They didn't leave a message suggesting they're most likely scammers. I received two other calls yesterday with a pre-recorded voice saying that I had issues with my tax and I would get arrested.

Said I was going to be arrested for non payment of tax bill. Second call today about same thing but a different number. Saying they are from Services Australia. I know it's a scam. A number of this type of calls on different phones over past week

Automated voice saying I was going to be arrested if I didn't press 1. it was my second call in regard to the same matter today from 2 different numbers, this one originating from Brisbane. Very frustrating when you don't know if it is a legitimate call or not so you have to answer just in case.

As above blocked - this was the second call today after I blocked the previous number.

Pretty much the same as the reports below.

However, how come I received exactly the same record message from 0410 953 272 this morning and the other one at this (07) 3911 1342 the same day?

Can these scammers get our details via QR code check-ins at pub and restaurant?
