This was a call from RACQ - a reminder call that my Insurance Premium was due the next day. Great Service, given that if the premium was unpaid, the Insurance would lapse and I would no longer be covered.

Caller: RACQ If you receive a call from this number, it is RACQ trying to contact you regarding an insurance product you have had with them that is still less than 30 days overdue. RACQ's insurance products stay in renewal mode and do not lapse off their database until 30 days after the due date, thus still giving you a window to pay your insurance renewal in case you forgot about it or if the renewal failed to be delivered to you. RACQ is not legally obliged to honour a claim for an insured event which occurs after the due date if the renewal has not been paid. So this is purely a courtesy call to check that you are not uninsured for something that you might still like to have covered. If you have moved over to a different insurer, that's fine. The consultant will be happy to cancel off you policy completely so you don't receive any further calls or reminders regarding that particular policy. They may also ask you for feedback to pass on to management.
