I got a call from this number yesterday afternoon saying they wanted to confirm my details in my super fund. I got suspicious when they gave me the wrong information about myself. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION its some sort of scam

A Pom

I'm a pom living in Melbourne. Had a call tonight from (07) 3335 5599, which looked to me like (07) 3335 5599 which is exactly the format of a UK mobile phone number which confused the hell out of me. They also called the land line but didn't leave a message. I guess this is because the auto-dialer that most outbound marketing call-centres use isn't programmed to - this just adds to the annoyance.

I was with Recruitment Super for about 3 months only, when I was contracting about two years ago. This was a timely reminder to leave the fund tomorrow!

I'm glad I Googled it and found you guys too :)

I just received a call from this number as well.  As I dont pick up any numbers I dont recognise I left it to go to voicemail.  They did not leave a message.  I've read the other comments here and I am currently with recruitment super.  However even if this is legit, I would not confirm my details over the phone, especially if they are using a third party to obtain the information they require.  If they really wanted to confirm with us, the caller would leave a message asking us to call back. Also recruitment super should have notified their members that this would be happening, if it is what they are doing. Another thing, I have heaps of other super funds with other companies, why is it JUST recruitment super having to confirm information?  That does make one wonder whats happening on their end.

Recruitment Super is a legitmate company. You probably have superannuation with them from working as a Temp on a Contract somewhere.http://www.recruitmentsuper.com.au/

I get this call every night for the past 3-4 nights at around 5-6pm...I knew straight away it looked dodgy, the repetitive numbers and it starting with '07'. I refuse to answer so I press the 'busy' button to stop it from ringing. I don't know who they are but I just want them to stop!!!

Re: Todd. I agree that it is legitimate.I also received a call from (07) 3335 5599 asking to confirm my details with Australian Accountants Super. I called up my superannuation company and they confirmed that at this time of the year they are sending out annual statements. They outsourced the calling to a third party to call up all the Superfund members to double check the details.
