This is a group called Lion Finance. They buy debt from banks and financial institutions at 7 cents in the dollar and then chase and harass the debtors for the full amount. Great and easy business model which is more profitable than most industries
There are many solutions by which to deal with this mob and their like :
1. Simply dont answer your phone when someone calls from a number you dont know. If it is important they will leave a message. If not it was not important at all. Lion will try calling you from mobile numbers and perhaps even international numbers. These are simple to obtain via the internet 2. Go to the app store and download the app trucaller. Then when this mob or a mob of its type calls simply let it ring out then copy that number, enter it into the app and report as spam. When they call again automatically your phone screen will turn red with the warning "SPAM". In addition trucaller will update the number on the phone of everyone who has the app downloaded and it will show up as SPAM on their phones if this mob calls them. This will further frustrate the mob. as they will need to keep changing calling numbers. 3. When you are ready and do want to work out a deal with them simply hire a debt lawyer and offer 10-12 percent of your debt as a final offer. Ask the lawyer to negotiate on your behalf and not release your address and telephone number.
While I am not condoning escaping paying your debts to the original creditor I am encouraging you to kick these debt collection vultures in the gut. These thugs are making a 15X ie 1500% profit for adding no value to the economy. It is legal robbery. So you legally kick them

Its SO frustrating - they never stop calling every morning and evening. Just wish there was some way of 'blocking' their number. Its harassment and should NOT be allowed.

"Call at 10.12pm!!!! Isn't there laws about that??"
Yes they're not allowed to call before 8am or after 9pm. But that's why they call from a Brisbane number who are an hour behind us during daylight savings.
F*****s keep calling me! I don't have any debts. I have a perfectly clean credit record so I don't know how they got the number I've had since I was 13. Anyway 😑
