Ebay scam saying that someone had purchased gift cards worth $290 and they would help me to cancel the transaction. and elephants might fly the bloody scammers. They also use this number (07) 3171 7631

Scam call, claiming to be from Ebay about a $99 gift card 'I ordered'

Caller: Supposedly eBay

Not a real person, computerized, claiming to be from eBay telling me it was a confirmation call that my package had arrived. The voice said I had to ring them back to let them know if I wanted it or otherwise $298 would be withdrawn from my account. Never addressed me by name and never gave me an invoice number.

I have never brought anything on eBay and never will. So I doubt they have my account details anyway. So it's a SCAM I'm assuming. They certainly don't have my authorisation to do anything with my bank account.
