Asked for donation to Bowel Cancer Australia. Foreign voice!! Alarm bells ringing. Funny I had the free govt test done last week. Do they have the mailing list? Then phone to exploit? I told them I could not help them twice as I had other charities to support.........hung up in my ear!!

Scammers. Ringing to monitor when you are home and answering the phone. Used a different phone number later in the day as a follow up (so don't bother with (07) 4569 6023 either)

Not too sure about the number. Asian voice "Chris" ringing on behalf the the bowel cancer testing society...... Told them I was on welfare, had no money and my church was helping me and they should perhaps approach my church is they need help.... Hahaha....he hang up

Allowed the call to go through to my answering machine. Person on the other end breathed a few times and hung up without saying anything. I'm miffed that I'm out of blocks on my home phone now >.<

Get this number calling several times a month, never speak when we answer. Going to get rid of land line once & for all, sick to death of lack of privacy

There have been several calls from this number over a number of days. Some are simply displayed on our phone indicating that we have been called, but we haven't heard it ringing.

I answered one yesterday. It was a female voice with and Asian accent. Her first ploy was to say that the call would be monitored (as is the practice with legitimate companies / charities etc). She then proceeded to tell me that she was calling to raise funds for children with heart disease, and how the govt didn't provide any funding (alarm bells starting to ring). This was followed by a request to buy one or more of the products she was offering (stationery items etc). She claimed that they had the logo of the charity on them. I told her I was not interested in buying items, but would be happy to make a small donation. Amazingly, this was ignored and she then repeated a request to buy some of the products. When I again refused, she terminated the conversation.

Just got missed call from this number (07) 3106 6071 no messaged left when I ring the number was advised by operator please check the number as its disconnected. So not sure who or what they were if any one has any info please enlighten me who this is

Calls .... silent for a fraction of time...... then hangs up.

Perhaps just trying to access the Webb - if it is hooked up on the same phone line?

Irrespective who they are - a nuisance none the less.

This is the second call from this number in 2 days...both times it has been from a very noisy call centre advising the call is about children with heart conditions/diseases. On both occasions I have hung up. First consultant was male, the 2nd one female. Both strong foreign accents and difficult to understand.

Had calls from this number I tried to ring bavk & says it's disconnected after a minute if missing this call???

If you are going to bother ringing me why hang up when I answer.

Scammers that phone, say an automated hello, and then hang up after a few seconds. Obviously checking the times that the phone is being answered.

Selling tea towels and other goods for bowel cancer. Asian accent. Spiel was not believable.

Daily calls for a week or so - they always hung up when we answered. Finally got a voice on the other end. Foreign voice claiming they were having an "emergency appeal" for children with congenital heart disease. Scam.

Asian sounding woman saying she is calling from Bowel Cancer Australia ............... yeah right !!??!! Asked her what country she is calling from, she said the Phillipines.

Have them on the line now, I haven't hung up & I've left them on speaker phone, they can't ring out on this line now & hopefully as it's an STD number, it's costing them a fortune!
So sick of getting these calls & they hang up, almost a daily occurrence.

Keep getting calls - no message and when I call back, it just rings out so I don't know who is calling me. I have the Telstra Call Guardian phone which asks the caller to give their name and I can then choose to accept the call or not. I suspect that they hang up as soon as they get that but I still receive a missed call notification which I follow up in case it is important.
