Caller: Asian on private number transferred me to "Amanda Johnson"?

On 23/08/2018 I received a call from a private number, Asian speaker who referred me to Amanda Johnson (07) 3102 6015.
Woman responded saying she was from ‘Do Not Call’ registry wanting to update my stop calls for telemarketers and nuisance calls. She said name Amanda Johnson. When queried, there was no cost; but I would have reduction on my direct debit Telstra Bills each month.
She checked to verify my new replacement card was same number/ different expiry date. Then I got two successive codes for debit of $150. I ignored them. I phoned back the number and the so called “Amanda Johnson” answered. I did not continue.

Caller: Unknown foreign from private number immediately transferred to "Amanda Johnson"?

Caller: They said Telstra, Do not call register? named Amanda Johnson (07) 3102 6015

They said they were checking on blocked calls for telemarketers
asked for phone numbers and bank card numbers. Name Amanda Johnson said I would get a reduction in my direct debit telephone account.
At no cost yet they sent me a code number that appeared to take $150 from my account. When I got suspicious and I did not verify the code that they sent.
