Just had a call from this number... "I'm sorry, there's no one available to take your call right now, please try again later" then it hung up. What the hell?

I have refused to ever donate to PCYC again as I was continuously contacted by the same person for months after I gave a one off donation once! When my husband lost his employment the man called when I said I was unable to help due to this, he said "What not even $10 not like that's going to break the bank". Just too rude!!!

I think it's about time that the exemptions for charities etc. was removed.
If I'm on the "Do Not Call' register, then that should be the end of it.
No, I do not want to be called, other than by those people to whom I have shared my number. Privacy should be exactly that!

I work for the company insight CFS, it is a legitimate company, they do fundraising for not for profits. SIMON QUINN is the director of Insight CFS and I can see him work every day in the office.

The reason people get hung ups is because it takes a few seconds to connect the dialer, and we also get hung up on by supporters.

All the money you give goes directly to the charity, it is the law and you can go to government websites to find out more information. The charities then outsource their marketing to companies such as insight CFS and other fundraising companies because they are more efficient and cost the charities less. In an ideal world, everyone will be donating to charities without charities asking you for it but clearly that is not the case. If you would like to see how much of your money goes to actual programs charities run, you can go to the charities website. All the information should be publicly available.

Hello, I would like to help.

Insight CFS is a call centre that raises funds for several Australian Charities. Please be assured that calls from this number are legitimate and fundraising is done with the charities consent. All call lists used by Insight CFS are Privacy Compliant. As insight calls on behalf of Australian Charities call lists are not based of the "Do Not Call Register" as charities are exempt.

If you are receiving calls from InsightCFS, and you wish to be removed from our calling lists please call our customer service team on 1300 365 896 between 9am & 5pm Monday to Friday. If we are unavailable please leave a message with your phone number and we will remove it the next business day.
When contacting us, please have handy any and all numbers you would like removed including mobile, work and personal numbers even if you have not yet received calls on this number. That way, we can ensure that you are not bothered in future.

InsightCFS is not the only company doing charity fundraising calling so if you receive any calls from other companies that you do not want to receive we recommend that you ask the telemarketer who called you to ask their supervisor to remove you from all of their calling lists.

We apologise for any inconvenience receiving telemarketing calls may cause you, and hope that you understand that telemarketing raffles provide a huge boost in funds for our charity clients.

Thank you for reading through this message.

Getting sick of charities. I donate when I can, don't like being harassed when I can't. This number called a few minutes ago, seems previous posters have confirmed it is PCYC, however this is a little different... when I answered I got a bleeping which hurt my ear, when I called the number back a machine asked for a mailbox number??? Annoying much. :/

having been an agent for 3 years, I cannot speak more highly of their professionalism and ethics. unfortunately a few bad apples can spoil the best intentions, don't listen to them, they were probably fired.

Rang the InsightCFS number as provided in a comment above - took about a minute to have our details removed by a friendly customer services rep. Too easy, thank you!

Insight CFS on the whole have good agents however there is so much pressure to obtain credit card payments that they alienate supporters that have provided support by cheque for many years to both the PCYC and RSPCA.Watch out for the CEO Simon Quinn who will star in Today Tonight.

PCYC called me from this number about 3 weeks ago, I declined the offer of purchasing their raffle tickets, and since then I have received many calls from the number. Over the weekend there have been 3 calls from that number. I am going to call PCYC today and make a complaint. Over them and I will never contribute to them again.
