Never agree to the debt. When you do you enter a contract.

Received a call from this number (07) 3017 3200, I could not identify what the Company Name was as that part of the message was obviously intentionally scrambled (listened to the messages five time in am attempt to identify the Company Name). Attempted to call the above Number back twice, it appeared strange as the answering service also failed to Identify the Company Name and appeared to be in a cycle, where the phone rang, answering service picked up, advised me to hold three times then appeared to re-ring the Number again and follow the same cycle. Which may indicate a high priced dial Number that bills you many times for the one call.

Lucy, they cannot chase a debt you have not acknowledged for 6 years. It is then statute barred. If they call again, say that you do not owe any money and tell them to go away. Do not acknowledge the debt in any way or the statute of limitations resets. They have called you because the 6 years is almost up. Lion are well known for trying to collect statute barred debts and trying to collect twice.

Best of luck!

I had a debt that was passed on to Lion Finance 9 or 10 years ago. I wanted to pay them back in stallments and got a finance professional to negotiate on my behalf. Guess what - they said it was the full amount or nothing. At that point I had just been evicted from my home and was in a very stressful situation and I didn't say to them I wouldn't pay back my debt I said I wanted time to pay in installments. This debt then went on to my credit file even though I said I would pay in installments - so for 5years I have been unable to get any credit whatsoever.
They are no longer on my credit file and life is looking a bit better again credit wise. BUT ..... just had a missed call from them !!!!! I would have thought after 10 years the debt would be written off.

No idea who they are. Leave bland messages to call someone and quote a reference. Joy of an iPhone is you can block the caller. Wish you could do it for no caller id calls as well.

Complete scam artists....they call then ask for personal information over the phone! We don't live in the 80's any more, who gives out information over the phone to people they do not know/have never heard of especially when they refuse to answer any question you pose to them! I spoke to 3 different people to sort the issue out and 2 of them hung up on me....what "debt collector" hangs up on people?! lol simply proves my point of scamming....

This number (07) 3017 3200 contacted our landline looking for (name withheld) whom we do not know. They are a mercantile debt collection agency. They chase people with outstanding debts. Ask their address so you can advise them in writing to Stop the Phone Calls being made to your number from their company.
